According to the third installment of a biennial survey L.E.K. Consulting conducted on the healthy living marketplace, U.S. adult consumers spend, on average, a reported $635 on nutritional supplements each year: $433 on vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements (VMS), and $202 on sports nutrition products. And yet, within both categories, there is still room for further growth.
Indeed, when asked about their prior month’s purchases, just 55% of consumers who make H&W a priority said they bought VMS, and only 25% had purchased sports nutrition products. In other words, for retailers and brands there are some significant opportunities — and even a lurking threat — to be found.

In Lean conversations, we often hear “it’s 10% tools and 90% people,” “we need to change the culture,” and “they just don’t get it.” While each of these statements may be true, they all reflect that something is missing in our problem-solving and transformation attempts—and that missing element is helping people change their behaviors. In reality if we don’t change the way the organization thinks and behaves, on a day-to-day basis, we won’t significantly impact performance levels.
This workshop includes both theory and practical application around the behaviors of excellence: organizational clarity, focus, discipline, and widespread employee engagement. Activities include class discussions and four major activities representing each of the dimensions.
The clarity activity centers on the words we use and how ambiguity and "softened" language hinders performance. The focus activity is a timed simulation that demonstrates how working on fewer projects at a time increases the total number of projects completed in a comparable given time period. Participants learn metrics-based process mapping, a highly disciplined process for standardizing work. In the final activity, participants practice techniques that lead to engagement and disengagement.

Syfte: Bygga egen kunskap kring vilka drivkrafter som bygger företags anseende i Sverige
- Undersökningen är baserad på 38 företag i fem branscher (bank & finans, detaljhandel, energi, telekom, fordon) samt en grupp med övriga företag. Företagen är valda utifrån att de är hyggligt välkända samt marknadsledare eller uppstickare i sin bransch.
- Vi har använt TNS Sifos internetpanelför intervjuer med ett representativt urval av boende i Sverige, 18-79 år. I undersökningen gjordes totalt 4 500 intervjuer, vilka gav sammanlagt 17 964 utvärderingar av de berörda företagen (en respondent har kunnat utvärdera fler än ett företag).
- Filtrering bland allmänheten för undersökningen, kännedomsnivå 3-5 krävs på en skala mellan 1-5
