This document show how to enter the IPs for TN Ericsson link when it down management

2. After log on the link, right click on the link name (as the link is
down management, the name won’t appear, only the IP saved on it
will appear):

3. Choose (Configure  Basic NE) as follow:

4. The (Basic NE) page will appear as follow:

5. Click on (NE Name) to change the link name:
For example: (TN-UP0428MN-MENYA3)

6. Click on (NE Location) to change the link region:
For example: (MENYA)

7. Click on (NE Contact), and the NE Contact is ERICSSON:
Always be: (ERICSSON)

8. Click on (NE IP Address) to enter the link IP address:
For example: (10.208.34.201)

9. Click on (NE Subnet Mask) to change the subnet IP address:
Always be: (255.255.255.248)

10. Click on (Default Gateway) to enter the gateway IP address:
Always be: (0.0.0.0)

11. Click on (Continent) to change the link country:
Always be: (Etc)

12. Click on (City) to change the region timing:
Always be: (GMT +2)

13. Click on (NTP Server) to change the NTP Server IP address:
Always be: (10.158.204.18)

14. Click on (Date and Time) to adjust the time and date of the link:
Click on the mention sign, the time and date will be adjusted automatically:

15. Then press (Save) to save the changes:

16. A message will appear to sure that we need to save changes,
and we will press (OK):

17. Another message will appear to inform us that the link will
make warm restart, and we will press (OK):

18. During warm restart we will loose the connection to the link:

19. The connection will back again after warm restart (about 10
mins.) and then we will press (OK) to continue:

20. Right click on the link name and choose:
Configure ------- DCN ------- OSPF Areas

21. A DCN-Configure OSPF Areas page will appear, and then we
will press the mentioned sign to create new OSPF Area:

22. Click on (Net Address) to enter the link IP:
We will enter the link IP but last number will be (0):
For example: (10.208.34.0)

23. Click on (Subnet Mask) to enter the subnet IP:
Always be: (255.255.254.0)

24. Click on (Area ID) to enter the link area IP:
We will enter the link IP but last number will be (0):
For example: (10.208.34.0)

25. Click on (Area Type):
Always be: (Totally Stubby)

26. Then press (Save) to save the changes:

27. No we need to warm restart the link, Right click on the link name and choose:
Tools ---------- Restart

28. Click on (Warm Restart) button, then press (OK) to begin the
restart action:

29. The warm restart will begin and take about 10 mins:

30. During warm restart we will loose the connection to the link:

31. The connection will back again after warm restart (about 10
mins.) and then we will press (OK) to continue:

32. To make sure that the link is under supervision now we can use (Ping) command
from DOS session as follow:
Start Menu ----> All programs ----> Accessories ----> Command Prompt

33. A DOS session will be opened and we will write:
>> ping 10.158.204.18

34. If the link ping normal as follow, so the site will be under supervision and the
problem will be solved and then we can check with E// team:
