A title sequence introduces a film or television program by presenting key production details and cast members over conceptual visuals and sound. It typically follows the opening credits. Two example title sequences are analyzed - one for the zombie film Zombieland that shows slow motion scenes of people fighting zombies, setting up the horror comedy genre. The other is for the animated film Coraline that starts with a still image developing into a scene of a puppet being sewn, creating an ominous atmosphere. Both sequences show production credits first and title last, include music, and vaguely establish the plot without characters. They differ in elements included, speed of scenes, and number of scenes.
