2. The costumes that the cast will wear will be normal 21st
century clothes.
The reason why the cast will have costumes like this is
because the thriller is set in 21st century and it makes it
more realistic for the audience.
It will makes more sense if the cast wear something that
is relatable to them/the time of when the movie opening
is going to be set.
3. The reason why we will film here is because this is an
easy area for filming to take place.
It is a good area to build up dramatic tension in the
sense that it is an unusual place for a thriller to take
place.
Also you do not have to pay for anything it is free and
easily accessible.
It will also be set inside of a house as the couple are
indoors at the start of the title sequence.
4. A young couple in there early twenties are watching a
movie downstairs in their house, having no idea that a
kidnapper is in the house. Eventually, without the couple
knowing the kidnapper knocks out the boyfriend and takes
the girlfriend hostage. When the boy finally wakes, he finds
a clue which will later kick start the rest of the film, leaving
the opening on a cliff-hanger.
5. The lighting that we would use for the opening would vary. At first
when there is no tension the lighting will be bright and normal. But,
when tension builds, the lighting will gradually become darker
almost to the extent that it is black and grey.
Reason why we would use lighting like this, is because the change
will set the tone of the movie and create different elements of
tension. The effect that this will have on the audience is that it will
grip them and make them question why this is happening.
The piorectic code will be evident because the use of lighting will
suggest further action will take place as this connotes when the
lighting goes dark, so does the film.
6. The camera angles that I will be using will be using mostly are;
Longshot – the audience can see everything taking place and what is
around the scene e.g the couples home and how the kidnapper enters.
Extreme close up – the audience will be able to see, in detail what is
happening and facial expression of the characters. The fear in the girls
face, a she is witnessing what is happening.
Birds Eye view- the audience will be able to see everything from a
different perspective and to show the location of where it is set e.g. a
city or countryside
Worm eye shot- To make certain characters or objects seem bigger in
stature.
Point of view shot- the audience can see what is happening from
another characters perspective e.g. what the kidnapper is seeing
High angle shot- Again, the audience can see what is surrounding the
characters and this could be used to create the tension in the scene.
All the camera angles will be used to build this tension and create an
eerie atmosphere to the film.
7. The music that we intended to use will be created on garage
band or another music software.
The characteristics of the music will be, that it will have the
same fast beat but with low tone that will increase in pace and
tone.
The effect that this will have is, it will build up tension slowly
and also suggest further action will take place (Piorectic code)
Also creating the typical thriller feel to the film.
This is an example of how we want our music to sound.

8. The typography that will we be using
during the title sequence will be:
Bold- So that it stand out to the audience
and people will remember the names.
The colour red – To connote danger or
action
Also it will appear in slow motion to give it
a more dramatic effect to the audience.
9. After the extreme close up we would zoom out of the
extreme close up into a mid shot showing the couple
together watching a movie on the sofa.
Straight after this there will be a quick editing of scenes
showing the kidnapper getting into the house quietly.
We would then fade this shot of the couple, showing the
kidnapper right behind them.
