Since the moment Boethius meditated on the nature of time in his fifth book on The Consolation of Philosophy, we have more tools to reflect on the subject. The onset of relativity and quantum physics provides us with the best insight, to date, that guides our reflections on the philosophical debates that attempt to theorize a definition of time. To clearly address the problems related to the theoretical models that account for the nature of time, adjustments to our interpretation of the contextual issues involved in special relativity are in order if we are going to preserve our notion of causal reality. As the construction of string theory emerges as the reigning theory for quantum gravity, a precise picture of causal reality can be accounted for through theories such as Dysonâs Chronological Protection Agency, HoĹavaâs theory of gravity, and new insight to how simultaneity is interpreted in relativity theory. With this model, the question about time in the philosophical debates can now be clearly defined through the Presentistsâ view of the universe. Thus, if we are going to accept the premise of quantum mechanics (QM) and the theory of relativity, we can safely say that string theory (ST) is a reasonable theory of quantum gravity and that its conclusions about time must be taken seriously.
Spiritual truths are being affirmed with rapid advancement in Scientific knowledge. Sharing my reading and thoughts, that goes to establish that at long last Science has mellowed over the years, the animosity is no longer there, and Spirituality and Science are slowly but surely converging in the quest of TRUTH.

Hi guys!!!
This is a presentation on the time travel. Many of us don't know about time travel, so here you can find the complete information regarding the time travel.
If you guys have any doubts then feel free to ask me in the comments section.
THANK YOU!!!!
We believe the quantum entanglement is caused by the very space itself, not by any particles, and thus not bounded by the speed of light, so is the gravity, we stand at fireworks side.
When asked to do a research assignment, Rafael , 12M (EJR) went for two topics that have puzzled him. This is the ppt he created as the support for his presentation.
In this presentation, I am discussing about possibilities and Including various concepts and Theories related to Time Travel.
I HOPE YOU ALL WILL LIKE THIS PRESENTATION
In these slides first i started with some comments made by legendary people in their field. Then i started with maxwellian equations and how they lead to special relativity and also how it make two different concepts time and space(what thought to be classically different) unified using lorentz transformations. These also give hint that we do not live in euclidean space but rather in minkowskian space and also gave the description of light cone. And in the end video to tell the big picture through visuals.

Time travel, Science Fiction or Reality?
Time travel is one of my favorite topics! I wrote some time travel stories in junior high school that used a machine of my own invention to travel backwards in time, and I have continued to study this fascinating concept as the years have gone by. We all travel in time. During the last year, I've moved forward one year and so have you. Another way to say that is that we travel in time at the rate of 1 hour per hour.
But the question is, can we travel in time faster or slower than "1 hour per hour"? Or can we actually travel backward in time, going back, say 2 hours per hour, or 10 or 100 years per hour?
It is mind-boggling to think about time travel. What if you went back in time and prevented your father and mother from meeting? You would prevent yourself from ever having been born! But then if you hadn't been born, you could not have gone back in time to prevent them from meeting.

What are the basics behind the General Relativity?
General Relativity actually deals with gravitational interaction between objects. It thus deals with the rules that govern the giant universe and the galaxies within.
Abstract: Dr. David Joseph Bohm an American scientist who theorized quantum mechanics in the most ordinary and understandable way, which is somewhat referred to as the âPilot Wave-modelâ. Also he prophesized in neuropsychology, and gave the Holonomic model of brain affecting our view of the quantum mechanics. His theories suggest that the phenomenon of âNON LOCALITYâ or quantum entanglement is due to the famous âframe draggingâ phenomenon predicted by Sir. Albert Einsteinâs theory of relativity.
Bohmâs theory also suggests that time doesnât exist in the way we think it does as stated by âTHE BIG CRUNCHâ theory. According to it time exists due to the interacting frequencies of the waves due to particle vibrations in space and that the universe never began.
In this paper existence of quantum entanglement is used to question the degree of correctness of the Space-time fabric theory.
For a long time, theoretical physicists have dreamed of the day when the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics would be combined to create the Theory of Everything. It often stated that such a theory would be so simple and concise that the whole thing could be condensed into a simple equation that would fit on a T-shirt.
It was clear to me that classic material reductionism could not provide a path to that laudable goal, so I undertook an investigation to see what could replace it. That investigation spanned almost 4½ years, and it was documented step-by-step in my essay Order, Chaos and the End of Reductionism. This research led me to several dead ends, blind alleys, and self contradictions. What I ultimately discovered was that Einstein's field equations of the general theory of relativity actually provide an exact solution for the universe as a whole, whereas these laws are recapitulated on smaller scales as approximations for weak-field interactions.
Combining this principle with the principle of maximal entropy led to some surprising conclusions, summarized by a simple equation of state that can easily fit on a T-shirt that captures the essence of the Theory of Everything.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
Â
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasnât one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. TIME?

ďźCAN WE TRAVEL THROUGH TIME?
ďźIF YES HOW?

2. TIME
Time is a part of the measuring system used
to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the
intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change such as
the motions of objects. The Standard S.I unit of time is Seconds.
Time is hard to define. For starters you cannot see or touch it,
but its effects are clearly visible.
The evidence that we are moving through time is found in
everything: our bodies age, buildings weather and crumble,
trees grow, etc.
This is what we all knowâŚ
But there is something more depth in time.
The second is the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the
radiation corresponding to the transition between the two
hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom.
4. SPACE AND TIME
Space and time are involved in a special relationship.
The effects of time on our physical surrounding are very real.
Apart from that, time is also defined as the fourth dimension of
the universe with the other three being space dimensions.
So tight that you might wonder whether either of them could
exist without the other.
This interconnected relationship of space and time is called the
space-time continuum, which means that any event that occurs
in the universe has to involve both space and time.
A simple example of this relationship would be that of two
objects that cannot exist in the same space at the same time,
they have to be in their 'own' space, or they might occupy the
same space, but at different times.
5. EINSTEIN REVIEWS
...for us physicists believe the separation between past, present,
and future is only an illusion, although a convincing one...
-- Albert Einstein
6. EINSTEIN THEORY OF RELATIVITY
The Einstein Theory of Relativity relates to our physical
universe. It notes that time is relative with the speed of the
object while moving through space.
According to this theory time passes differently for celestial
bodies that move at different velocities.
This concept is hard to grasp, and even harder to apply to our
reality.
The main reason for this is that we ourselves are physical
beings that inhabit a planet that moves with a fixed speed.
Time on earth is therefore linear.
To measure the speed of time you need at least two objects that
travel at different speeds.
When they reunite time has past differently for each object.
The closer the speed of an object gets to the speed of light, the
slower the time in that object passes compared to another
object that remains 'stationary'.
7. EINSTEIN THEORY OF RELATIVITY
The concept here is that time is not linear, but relative.
It indicates that our day-to-day perception of time, is different
than its real nature.
However, the circumstances needed to observe, proof and
'benefit' of this real nature are 'extreme' and have not yet been
accomplished.
The one circumstance that we know that affects the behavior of
time is the speed of the physical object in the universe.
However since it is proven that time is relative, it might also be
possible that its relativity depends on more variables than just
'movement of the object'.
Also, since movement has direction (there are three space
dimensions) is seems conceivable that time itself has direction
too, or could even curve, bent, fold, twist etc.
This where the question arises??
8. EINSTEIN THEORY OF RELATIVITY
If this is true then time travel is possibleâŚ.
Now next question is how?
This question is chasing the thoughts of scientistâs from
decadesâŚ..
9. LETS SEE WHAT FURTHER THIS THEORY
SAYS?
Einstein's theories about time and relativity are based on the
existence of a physical universe.
To be able to measure time you need to have physical objects
(matter, mass) that move through space.
These objects generally suffer the effects of time (aging).
Further to that there seems to be a need for consciousness in
order to have a notion of time.
Therefore, to measure the passing of time it seems that you
need matter, movement and consciousness.
What would happen to time itself if one of these basic entities is
taken away? Is time maybe a result of interaction of these
entities?
Again a question mark????????
10. LETS SEE WHAT FURTHER THIS THEORY
SAYS?
As a comparison we could look at other entities that are the
result of movement:
⢠An induction electric current for instance is the result of the
movement and interaction of objects with certain characteristics.
⢠Without objects or movement, induction electricity does not exist.
⢠It gets only generated under special circumstances and disappears
when the conditions needed cease to exist.
⢠It is not an absolute static entity that always exists but a derived
one.
The question is:
If you cannot measure time because one of the key entities is
missing, whether time itself continues to exist, time might be
generated and only exists as a consequence of interaction between
matter, movement and consciousness.
11. LETS SEE WHAT FURTHER THIS THEORY
SAYS?
Universal rules determine how time applies to physical objects
that move through space.
However, there are no definite rules about how it would apply to
pure non-physical entities.
Imagine a free, unattached, independed consciousness, that
can move through space and interact with the physical universe,
but without having mass or body (God, angels, spirits).
A discussion regarding such entities might be useless as we
cannot proof that they exist.
If they would exist however It would be hard to determine and
imagine how time would affect such entities.
13. TIME TRAVEL
Time travel is the concept of moving between different points
in time in a manner analogous to moving between different
points in space.
Time travel could hypothetically involve moving backward in
time to a moment earlier than the starting point, or forward to the
future of that point without the need for the traveler to
experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal
rate).
Any technological device whether fictional or hypothetical
that would be used to achieve time travel is commonly known
as a Time machine.
Although time travel has been a common plot device in science
fiction since the late 19th century, and the theories
of SPECIAL and GENERAL relativity suggest methods for forms
of one-way travel into the future via time dilation.
It is currently unknown whether the laws of physics would allow
time travel into the past.
14. TIME TRAVEL
This lead to proposal of many theories and hypothesesâŚ.
In modern Scientists STEPHEN HAWKING contributed major
partâŚ.
âBECAUSE THERE IS A LAW SUCH AS GRAVITY, THE
UNIVERSE CAN AND WILL CREATE ITSELF FROM
NOTHINGâ
-STEPHEN HAWKING
15. STEPHEN HAWKING CONTRIBUTION
The laws of physics actually accommodate the notion of time
travel, through portals known as wormholes.
"The truth is wormholes are all around us, only they're too small
to see. They occur in nooks and crannies in space and time,"
Hawking writes. "Nothing is flat or solid. If you look closely
enough at anything you'll find holes and wrinkles in it. It's a basic
physical principle, and it even applies to time. Even something
as smooth as a pool ball has tiny crevices, wrinkles and voids.â
Down at the smallest of scales, smaller even than molecules,
smaller than atoms, we get to a place called the quantum foam.
This is where wormholes exist.
Tiny tunnels or shortcuts through space and time constantly
form, disappear, and reform within this quantum world.
And they actually link two separate places and two different
times.
16. WORM HOLES
The tunnels, unfortunately, are far too small for people to pass
through -- just a billion-trillion-trillionths of a centimeter -- but
physicists believe it may be possible to catch a wormhole and
make it big enough for people, or spaceships, to enter, Hawking
writes.
Theoretically, a time tunnel or wormhole could do even more
than take us to other planets.
If both ends were in the same place, and separated by time
instead of distance, a ship could fly in and come out still near
Earth, but in the distant past.
Maybe dinosaurs would witness the ship coming in for a
landing.
17. A wormhole is a theoretical 'tunnel' or shortcut, predicted by Einstein's theory of relativity,
that links two places in space-time - visualised above as the contours of a 3-D map,
where negative energy pulls space and time into the mouth of a tunnel, emerging in
another universe. They remain only hypothetical, as obviously nobody has ever seen
one, but have been used in films as conduits for time travel - in Stargate (1994), for
example, involving gated tunnels between universes, and in Time Bandits (1981), where
their locations are shown on a celestial map.
18. CONCLUSION
Ultimately, scientists may find that only travel into the future is
possible, as the laws of nature may make travel to the past
impossible so the relationship between cause and effect is
maintained. For example, if you could travel in the past and do
something that prevents yourself from being born, how could
you exist in the future to travel back in time?
So, for every discovery there are both advantages and
disadvantages. But the ultimate goal must be , it should not be
against the natureâŚâŚ
