The document describes an experimental task that presents participants with various moral scenarios. For each scenario, participants are shown advice statements from other students about how to consider the moral issues, along with the advisor's score. Participants then assess the utility of each statement. There are 7 scenarios presented about issues like student club membership, plagiarism, a professor asking a student for sexual favors, a spouse keeping a cancer diagnosis secret, diverting student fees, and parental relationships during divorce. For each scenario, 9-13 advice statements are provided for assessment. The goal is to see how participants evaluate different perspectives on complex moral situations.
Jon M. Huntsman built a successful chemical company based on strong ethical principles. In his book, he discusses how maintaining integrity, keeping promises, choosing advisors wisely, and giving back to society allowed him to succeed financially without compromising his values. He argues these "playground values" of fairness, honesty and responsibility still apply in business today. Upholding high standards and surrounding oneself with people of character are keys to sustainable long-term success and fulfillment, according to Huntsman.

Experiential family therapy emerged from humanistic movements of the 1960s. It focuses on bringing suppressed emotions to the surface to help family members connect more genuinely. Key innovators like Carl Whitaker and Virginia Satir developed techniques like family sculpting and role playing to facilitate emotional expression. The goal is for each family member to honestly report their feelings and be addressed uniquely, rather than through power dynamics. Breakthroughs often involve members becoming angrier or closer. While it helps discovery and reconnection, experiential family therapy is less focused on problem solving or family structure roles.

Design Principles: The Philosophy of UXWhitney Hess
The visual principles of harmony, unity, contrast, emphasis, variety, balance, proportion, repetition, texture and movement (and others) are widely recognized and practiced, even when they aren’t formally articulated. But creating a good design doesn’t automatically mean creating a good experience.
In order for us to cultivate positive experiences for our users, we need to establish a set of guiding principles for experience design. Guiding principles are the broad philosophy or fundamental beliefs that steer an organization, team or individual’s decision making, irrespective of the project goals, constraints, or resources.
Whitney will share a universally-applicable set of experience design principles that we should all strive to follow, and will explore how you can create and use your own guiding principles to take your site or product to the next level.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a model about human behavior. It is not a theory because a theory must be proved. On the other hand a model merely has to be tested and if the model yields consistent results; it qualifies as a working model.
Every model is based on pre-suppositions which are assumed to be true. The presuppositions
for any given model are fine tuned till such time that the model yields
consistent results.
1. Everyone lives in and operates from his/her own unique model of the world.
2. People always make the best choices available to them, given their unique model of the world and the situation.
3. There is a desirable solution/possible outcome to every problem.
4. Each person is equipped with everything he/she needs to solve his/her
problems.
5. It is important to separate and distinguish a person from his/her behavior.
When someone is learning something new, it is useful to evaluate the
behaviors while holding constant a positive evaluation of self.
6. All behaviors that people exhibit are motivated by a positive intention or
purpose.

It identifies the most common rationalizations as expected or standard practice, issues of materiality, locus of responsibility, and locus of loyalty. It also discusses addressing false dichotomies and using levers like long-term thinking and consideration of wider purposes to have persuasive responses. Examples of approaches discussed are using dialogue, persuasion, and problem-solving stances rather than adversarial approaches.

For instance, if your value statement is “I value thinking critically about situations in my life,” your principle might be: “It is important to fully understand a situation before making a decision.”
· Finally, create a goal that aligns with a principle you have identified. For example, if your principle is, “It is important to fully understand a situation before making a decision,” then your goal might be: “Evaluate career opportunities in my city.”
WMBA 6000: Dynamic LeadershipPersonal Values Survey
Each of the value categories listed below represents both a value and a personality strength. For example, “wisdom and knowledge” are values that you may embrace and strive for in your life through formal education and through learning what you can from your colleagues and family. At the same time, these are also strengths that you might leverage in your relationships as well as in the workplace.
The items under each value category are similar in that they could be considered both strengths and values, but think of them predominantly as strengths when you complete this survey. Ask yourself: To what extent is each of these a part of my personality?
Address each of the questions below by circling the number that best applies. Use the following scale when choosing the number:
1 = Not part of my personality at all
2 = Slightly a part of my personality
3 = Somewhat a part of my personality
4 = Very much a part of my personality
5 = Completely a part of my personality

2. Instructions:
You will now review the same scenarios from the morality test
you have already taken. You will have 30 seconds to review
each scenario. After you have reviewed each scenario, you will
then be shown a number of advice statements suggesting
alternative ways of considering the moral issues described in
the scenario, in order to improve your test performance. Each
advice statement has been endorsed by another student, who
has also taken the same test. You will have nine seconds to
view each advice statement, along with the advisor’s score.
After viewing each advice statement, your job will then be to
assess the utility of each statement, and indicate your
assessment on the scoring sheet provided. You will not have a
chance to review any statements for which you did not provide
a response. Be sure to think carefully about each statement
before scoring. Some statements appear more than once.
Inconsistent assessments of repeated statements may
significantly reduce your compensation for participating.

72. Scenario 3: “Karen”
My friend Karen and I are in a class together.
This class is required for graduation, and this is
the only time it is being offered this year.
Karen flunked the first test, but made an “A”
on her paper and midterm. I have been
working very hard in this class but have made
only “Bs” so far. Last night Karen confided in
me that the professor had taken a “personal
interest” in her and that he had asked her to
spend the night with him in exchange for an
“A” in the class.

106. Scenario 4: “Morgan”
I have been married to Morgan for two years. We are both
in college and do not have children. Three months ago
Morgan was diagnosed as having cancer. The recommended
treatment was intensive chemotherapy. Luckily, our
insurance covers the medical bills. Morgan has asked me
not to tell his/her parents about the cancer because
Morgan feels that they would interfere with the course of
treatment and demand that Morgan move home. I
promised not to tell Morgan’s parents but the treatments
are creating changes that are very hard to deal with.
Morgan’s parents are perplexed by Morgan’s recent
demeanor and blame it on our marriage, of which they
were never very supportive.

128. Scenario 5: “Administrator”
As the editor of the college newspaper, I decide
which stories are published. One of our reporters
has just turned in a story about a university
administrator who has been diverting student
fees for his own personal use. I assume that the
story is accurate. I called the administrator’s
house to speak with him about the discovery and
to tell him we were going public with the story.
His wife informed me that he was at the hospital
with their child who is terminally ill. The deadline
to run the story is midnight.

150. Scenario 6: “Richard”
My brother Richard has been dating Amy for
two years. They have talked casually about
getting married after college. We all go to
the same college and see each other
frequently. Early this morning I saw Amy
kissing my neighbor Michael as she was
leaving his apartment. Obviously Amy had
spent the night at his place.

188. Scenario 7: “Parents”
My parents, after 30 years of a somewhat
rocky marriage, are going through a divorce.
My mother has been involved with another
man for several years and has decided to
leave the marriage. She seems very happy
with her decision. Each of my parents wants
me to spend semester break at his or her
particular home, but my father will be very
upset if I go to my mother’s because her
“friend” will be there.
