The CANSORB XP series of polyethylene drums is TIGG’s activated carbon adsorber designed for liquid phase remediation. These activated carbon adsorbers are constructed of cross-linked polyethylene which can withstand the rigors of environmental remediation applications. The CANSORB XP series of activated carbon adsorbers are intended to be disposable units with non-removable heads. The adsorber design promotes efficient use of activated carbon filter media and even flow distribution. The CANSORB XP is provided with either virgin activated carbon or reactivated carbon filter media as a standard adsorbant. NOTES: • Desired contact time may allow higher or lower flow rates. • Dry virgin activated or reactivated carbon provided as standard adsorbent. • Maximum adsorbent fill is based on a bed density of 27 lb/ft3. • Maximum adsorbent fill can differ based on variable bed density and alternate adsorbents. • Pressure drops are based on a dense packed bed of activated carbon.

Lab Test Shows TIGG GAC Removes TTHMs from Municipal Drinking Water
A recent study conducted by an independent environmental laboratory proves that TIGG’s 5DC 12 x 30 activated carbon is effective at removing TTHMs from municipal drinking water. The test was sponsored by a municipality that needed to come into compliance with the EPA’s DPB Stage 2 regulations.
The study sponsor historically had high levels of TTHM in its water that ranged between 105 and 171 µg/L. The municipality talked to TIGG about a water purification adsorption system. While some in the industry insist that coal-based activated carbon is the only effective means of removing disinfection byproducts from municipal drinking water, TIGG experts recommended their 5DC 12 x 30 virgin coconut activated carbon.
The municipality had an independent laboratory run a pilot study using a rapid small-scale column test. They used TIGG’s 5DC 12 x 30 NSF activated carbon, which is designed to remove low concentrations of contaminants from potable water. The laboratory found that initial TTHM concentrations of 138 µg/L were reduced to < 1.0 µg/L following treatment with virgin coconut activated carbon. Based on the scale-up of the testing, it was determined that a full scale carbon adsorber would effectively treat TTHMs for 325 days before the bed needed a changeout.
Not only is coconut-based activated carbon effective, it is typically more economical than coal-based activated carbon. The following report shows the laboratory’s results over a 24-day period.

Funneling the carbon into a conical-shaped pocket at the bottom of the vessel disrupts the even progress of the mass transfer zone as it descends through the bed. It constricts the zone into a small area, thereby promoting early contaminant breakthrough.
The conical vessel internal design specs place an inverted cone waffled with aeration holes at the bottom of the vessel. This funnels the media bed into an underdrain that allows the spent carbon to flush from the vessel without leaving clumps of spent media in the corners at the bottom of the tank. However, plastic nozzles fitted to each aeration hole often break off and come loose. This causes carbon packed into the cone to spill into a catch basket that resembles an inverted witch’s hat. We will explore the capabilities of AI in understanding XML markup languages and autonomously creating structured XML content. Additionally, we will examine the capacity of AI to enrich plain text with appropriate XML markup. Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

These activated carbon adsorbers are constructed of cross-linked polyethylene which can withstand the rigors of environmental remediation applications. The CANSORB XP series of activated carbon adsorbers are intended to be disposable units with non-removable heads. The adsorber design promotes efficient use of activated carbon filter media and even flow distribution. The CANSORB XP is provided with either virgin activated carbon or reactivated carbon filter media as a standard adsorbant.
