3 Trends in Human Resources
to follow during 2016
Quadion seeks innovation in all areas of its activity.
In this case, we are dedicated to explore the main trends of the IT market from
the Human Resources point of view.

The change of focus.
When deciding on a job offer or a job change, IT professionals tend to give more and more
importance to factors previously considered secondary: good working environment, easy access
to their business' office, time flexibility, benefits that permit the development of family or
university life, and, last but not least, rest time.
Money, which is still important, is no longer the most important issue, and young IT professionals
don't seem eager to do the tradeoff of sacrificing personal life and private aspirations in
exchange for a monetary sum.
This creates a new paradigm where companies must focus on development, training, and real
options of life / work balance (flex time, breaks, etc.) to attract and retain talent elusive and
demanding.
Job searches going mobile.
Technology keeps advancing, intertwining our daily lives and blurring frontiers between private
life, work and a job search.
The emergence of mobile technologies applied to the job seeking field (which the experts define
as a job on itself) create a whole new landscape for all professionals alike, from the IT sector or
not. And for companies, always on the lookout for new talent.
Not long ago, a person looking for a job had to be sitting in a room with a fixed device (PC, laptop,
etc), fully dedicated to that task. Nowadays, the new mobile apps provide job seekers an
always-on, interconnected and fully charged tool for their task.
On the other side, companies looking to hire people are taking the trend as an opportunity to
detect, reach, recruit and attract new talent
Job search mobile apps will very soon be on every smartphone and tablet, just like games, news
apps, calendars or mail. And the paradigm will accelerate: higher rotation, and higher changes to
get new talent. The only left out will be those not jumping train on time.
The out-of-the-office Office.
With the improvement in the speed of wireless networks, 4G and other communication factors,
the tendency of meetings outside the office or in a relaxed atmosphere increases.
New technologies for remote working such as Slack, Gitlab, Google Hangouts, Skype, etc -which,
by the way, IT professionals and companies know by heart- foster creativity, greater interaction
and allow more concentration in the subject at matter. They are also ideal for negotiations,
planning and working cycles for the assembly of new projects.
Also, they relieve professionals and companies from the burden of commuting time, higher
equipment and installation costs.
