This document discusses moving from an LMS (learning management system) to a more open PLE (personal learning environment) system called SAPO Campus. It outlines concerns about how to launch new web services in an existing institutional context and how to massify a PLE service without compromising individual learning styles. It then discusses mockups and services the SAPO Campus project aims to provide, such as a PLE, e-portfolios, assessment tools, and identity management.
