Growing need for energy as the global population increases.
Coal, oil and natural gas are the three most important energy sources in the world.
Almost 90% of the energy, which is used in the world, comes from coal (2-300 years),
oil(30-50 years)and natural gas(70 years).
Norway will contribute by producing environment-friendly oil and gas – and by focusing
on reducing emissions from oil and gas operations.
Gas has approx. 50% less CO2 compared to coal and 20-30% less than oil, use gas as
a bridge from fossil energy to renewable energy
