  • 3. Meeting 4: 27-08-14 Meeting Outcomes: • Team members have shared their reflections from their research of a consideration to the learning environment • The Third Teacher Team are building a common understanding and an ownership of the process
  • 4. “How might we create engaging learning spaces with all members of the School community?” What is our mission statement and values that the Third Teacher Project stands for? How do we look to support staff expressions of interest in developing the environment for learning? How will we celebrate and share transformations to learning spaces with the SPS and wider community? What kind of obstacles and road blocks lie ahead and how will we hope to adapt, minimise and overcome them? How can we encourage staff to co-create flexible, humanised learning spaces that support teaching and learning? How can we ensure that any or all future developments at SPS makes considerations for the environment for learning? How will we ensure students co-create learning spaces with us, whether at a classroom or larger project level? NEW: How do we grow a culture, among staff and students, of positive ownership of learning spaces?

Editor's Notes

  1. Kat sent her apologies as she was unable to attend. Cathy Smith was also in attendance.
  2. Briefly feedback about the meeting with David and Erin, and how we will be working to develop a process by which we can: -Allow staff (and students to take ownership of the process; rights and responsibilities, instead of code of conduct).
  3. -Cathy and Julie shared their research and ideas surrounding learning pedagogical zones within the MS classroom context. -Andrew and Neil shared their experiences of the design process and unpacking the various stages. -Alana and Cheryl shared their research into the use for colour and texture and how these aspects could be considered. Unfortunately there wasn’t sufficient time to for Cameron and Maureen to present, so these will be carried over to our next meeting. Presentations will be emailed out to the group and put onto the Wikispace.
  4. With the reflections from Andrew & Neil we can begin to piece together the process by which the pilots will operate under. We also need to be considering engaging CLs with our journey so far.
