• Age -23
• Naayla was born and raised in Margate
• She is a painter and works part time at her
mothers coffee shop
• She is quite, observant and logical
• She has a kind heart and is known for being
a great listener among her friends who
often come to her in times of crisis
• She is very protective and caring towards
her three brothers
• She wants to be able to be an artist full time
and eventually have her own studio
3. Naayla Lakhani & The
Incident
• Naayla is heading into the gallery to drop off her
entry for the competition, there she bumps into
the judge (John)
• He flirts with her but she does not reciprocate
these advances
• Heading back to her car he follows her and
becomes aggressive, forcing himself onto her
• She freezes, unable to fight back
• In those brief moments she sees, all of the
witnesses and watches as non of them help
• She is confused and hurt by what happened but
instead of dealing with the truth of the event
she seeks out these people watching as there
lives become in tangled and lost in the event of
that day
4. Rory
• Age – 22
• He works at the coffee shop with Naayla
• They are close friends
• He is an old soul with dad humour that
keeps the two occupied during their shifts
• He had a lot oh heath complications in
youth and he still has regular doctors
visits for his cerebral palsy
• He wants to maybe be a comedy writer
one day/entertainer
5. Nicole – the mother
• Age – 29
• Stay at home mother with two daughters
• Her husband is often away of business but
she thrives when looking after the child and
the home
• She volunteers at places like the gallery club
as a parent helper
• Naturally very maternal but maybe her
morals are a little bit questionable
• Her children are 4-6
• She has often left her own moral
responsibilities to others thinking they will
deal with it better then herself.
6. Nicole & The Incident
• She sees from inside the gallery onto
the car park
• She quickly takes her children aside
• She is about to walk out but sees
someone closer and decides to return
to her children
• The event leaves her questioning if her
actions were correct
• Was it okay to assume that someone
else would deal with the attack better
then she would or was this morally
wrong
• Should she know better as a mother of
two girls herself?
7. The Couple – Theodore
(Theo) Walker
• Age – 30
• He is in a rising position in politics, with the
possibility to go far
• He is against UKIP and pro labour (part of the labour
party)
• His political opposition is the attacker and when
seeing the assault he decides to use it as blackmail
instead of telling anyone
• He takes it a lot more to heart then he lets on and
eventually is the one to break down
• Him and Louis have always been strong but this is
the first time they have gotten into a fight this big
8. The couple – Louis
Walker
• Age – 25
• He has a small bookshop that has
struggled in the past but he has kept it
going (with the help of Theo)
• He is promente in the community and
know a couple of the shop owners near
by (including Naayla’s mother)
• He hasn’t told anyone because of his
loyalty to his husband but it’s mad him
very anxtious
9. Louis, Theodore & The
Incident
• Louis thinks they are out on a date at
the gallery but really Theo wants to
see what John is doing
• Louis is trying to pull Theo away from
watching and manages to distract
him, the two find an empty cupboard
and enter
• But they hear something a look
through the door where john is
finishing wi a girl they cant quite see

• This could bring it back to her, maybe raise a
convo with her about why she doesn’t want
to tell anyone
• Maybe Rory fells bad because he couldn’t
do anything?

assault themselves

11. Art style then
• She hasn’t completely landed on
her style but shoe loves using
warm, vibrant tones
• She enjoys the use of warm
yellow light in portraiture
• Her work is loose and driven by
colour
• Her sketchbook work follows a
similar style but its more messy
and quick because of it
