THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
12. This is your PARADIGM. It tells
you what food is about and helps
you to decide what is, or is not
food.
13. Paradigm
An agreed body of theory explaining and
rationalizing professional unity and practice that
incorporates all the profession’s concerns,
concepts and expertise and guides values and
commitments.
25. The different types of foods of
different region (imagine frame=
border!) are your Indian food’s
FRAMES OF REFERENCE. You can
choose one of them to eat at your
lunch.
26. Frames of reference
It can be defined as a framework which draws
together the unifying theories and hypotheses of an
area of study or practice and sets boundaries to and
foundation for, the construction of models and
approaches.
OR,
It provides a statement of facts, theories and
hypotheses in a particular field of study.
27. If you arrange a birthday party!
You can arrange a menu with variety
of food of your own choice.
28. That might be some American and Indian menu.
Or can be only Bangladeshi
Or can be Italian and Chinese mixed. However,
you could not think that you will arrange samai
and rice as only menu because this will be an
incomplete menu.
29.
30. Okay! Finally, you will select “Shik
kabab”, “Chotpoti” and “Cake” for
your birthday party.
31. This is your birthday party’s food
MODEL . It brings certain food
(ideas) together and exclude others.
32. Model
It can be defined as a statement of an organized body of
knowledge which demonstrates elements within the model
and between theory and practice, and coordinates the
application of relevant approaches and techniques.
OR,
It forms a synthesis and integration of elements of theory
and practice, derived from various fields of study.
33.
34. For the party you want to cook
“Shik kabab” and “Chotpoti”
And want to buy a “Cake”
35. This is your APPROACH. you want to cook
“Chotpoti” and “Shik kabab”
And you want to buy “Cake”
Other people can like to buy all the items or
cook all of them!
36. This is your APPROACH. You can
only use the ones which are
available within model.
37. Approach
It forms a synthesis of related techniques and
methods.
For example:
Neurodevelopment approach,
Biomechanical approach,
cognitive approach
47. Finally, its work! You have done it! You can
say your techniques are right to make shik
kabab. So, you have to follow specific
techniques and specific core ingredients to
make shik kabab.
