FUNCTION
POETIC SYMBOL FOR PERCEPTION
The eye is used as the sacred symbol in many religions and ancient civiliza-
tions as the eyes are truly the windows to our soul. They reflects our deepest
state of conscioudness as a whole. Looking people in the eyes can let us have
a deeper understanding of an individual physically, emotionally and mentally.
This process occurs in a subconscious level.
PERCEPTION OR DECEPTION
What our eyes see is both our perception and deception of the world. What
we see is not what it is. What we see is not what we think we saw. Images and
colours are presentend to us as something we are capable of understanding
and something we want it to be understood. Our perception of our life and the
world are ultimately an unbreakable illusion we bestowed upon ourself.
HUMANITY IN THE EYES
Symbol of eyes normally represent the
essense of humanity in the form of hu-
mane values such as wisdom, life, sac-
rifice and protection. The eyes can be
considered as the representation of an
individual.
Our eye are capable of conveying com-
plicated emotional messages and cre-
ate empathy link with another individ-
ual regardless of barriers of any sort.
Connection with other living species is
made possible through this charateris-
tic.

EYES IN THE SPACE
An eye is not an eye because of its
physical structure appearance. The ge-
nius loci of an eye is its definition of
existence and scale is irrelevant. The
essense of an eye exists in different di-
mension, particularly the celestial be-
ing. They are often personified as hu-
man eyes with action such as blinking
and gazing.
Nebulae are eesentially just a cloud of
dust but they reenact the properties of
an eye in relation to proportion.
MOVEMENTVISUAL MOVEMENT
Our eyes movement are dictated by a
tendency toward focal points. This ten-
dency is created by the two contrast-
ing and coexisting vision in our eyes.
The corelationship creates a harmony
that acknowledge both as separate ex-
istence yet a complete entirety.
Our eyes itself are the most prominent
focal point. Our gaze are naturally
leads to others’ eyes because our sub-
conscious recognizes the sign of life
and intelligence in them.
LIGHT &
SHADOWANOTHER DIMENSION
Light and shadow exists because of how our eyes are made in a ways only a
small portion in the spectrum of light is visible to our eyes. Thus, light and
shadow can be interpreted as the visible and invisible. Shadow is the world
beyond the limitation of our eyes. Light exists in that shadow as well. Infared
and ultraviolet light are an example. The world in the shadow is unbeknown
tous but not always dark.
ELEMENT
DIVERGENCE
One of thte two fundamental elements
of the eyes is the iris. Every individual’s
iris is unque to its own. Iris common-
ly adopts a fibrous pattern of intercon-
nected divergence with a central void.
As it diverges, transitions happens in
the colour, density and structural be-
havior. The phenomena recorded a dy-
namic display of patterns and texture.
The occassional loops formed by the
interconnected fibre further enhance
the momentum
DROP
In the central position of the eye is
a dense void that depict a drop that
seemingly engulfs the surrounding fi-
bre into nothing . The void is the pupil
where the light concentrates and en-
ters the eye. The dull void gave its sur-
rounding overlapping layers of fibres
a strong presence of a 3 dimensional
space. moreover, the contradiction of
the dark void and the entrance of light
being one is ironic.
MATERIALITY
HIERACHY
The eyes constitute of many layers. All
of the layers are basically transparent
in a figurative sense. The components
in the eyes are actually quite simple
and relate to each other in a manner of
overlapping layers.
Each layer is in its own unique space,
forming parallel dimensions that inter-
act with each other closely. When the
dimensions manifest in a single time-
space. a solid structure is formed with
the texture being thteoutline of the di-
mensions.
