information! MAKE SURE IT’S ACCURATE! 
Once inputted, submit it!

Next, you’ll have to verify ownership of the page. You’ll either have the option of 
having an automated message call the number at the address and give you a code, 
which you’ll input on the next step. If you are creating a BRAND NEW business with 
no pre-existing data, you can only have postcard sent with the code.

As you can see, if you don’t verify your ownership of a Google My Business page, 
then you can’t make any changes to the page.
Optimizing Your Business Listing 
After verifying the page, EDIT the page! Make sure to add these 
5 things:

4. Business categories/services 
5. Think of a review strategy (collecting reviews)

- See how your page is doing (views, interaction, etc) 
with insights.

  3. Business Coach, Educator, founder FreeSalonEducation.com, Gratitude Salon Education, and owner of Salon Gratitude in New Hope, PA. Matt is a hair cutting expert with a business mind. He has spent the last 10 years educating stylists to help them develop a better knowledge of the industry, and to help them be more successful behind the chair. Matt has worked with some of the top stylists, companies, and distributors in the Salon Industry. In 2010 he Developed Gratitude Salon Education with one goal in mind, to help stylists and salon owners all over the world achieve their goals. In 2013 he created Freesaloneducation.com an online learning Network for Hair Stylists and Salon Owners at No Charge to them. Brittany Machi has a background in Elementary Education, as well as English. As a member of the Education team, she focuses her time on educating businesses, as well as furthering the education of the internal employees. She is actively involved in creating curriculum, administering exams, and communicating with businesses to determine their educational needs.
