build tension and to make the audience wonder what has
happened because of the events that they are witnessing. To give
more clues in to what happened for the ending to be like this and

shock from the audience and almost gives them a warning that
this is what happens in the film and more frightening that the
events that happened in the events can happen in real life which
is revealed later on throughout the beginning of the film when it
states that 'what you are about to see is inspired by true events'.

the building of the murder to investigate what exactly has

man is. The film starts off in the dark
just after the opening titles and then
shortly after the lights come on after
some fumbling around from the man
the camera is focusing om. The
change from darkness to the light
could perhaps symbolise that the
scary events are about to take place.
