The document discusses conducting a needs assessment and using the accountability bridge counseling program evaluation model to comprehensively evaluate the school counseling program at Ocean Elementary School. A needs assessment would help the new school counselor understand the needs of the school in order to plan, implement, and improve the counseling program's effectiveness. Additionally, the evaluation model provides a continuous cycle of gathering stakeholder feedback, assessing student needs, and measuring outcomes to enhance counseling services.
A textbook must provide, first and foremost, information to assist the reader in better understanding the topic. Second, it ought to provide the information in a way that can be easily accessed and digested, and it needs to be credible. Textbooks
that have gone through multiple editions continue to improve as a result of reviewers’ comments and readers’ feedback, and this one is no exception. Looking back over the efforts associated with this Fifth Edition, the old wedding custom of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” comes to
mind. We have built upon the solid foundation of previous editions, but then added “something new.” It almost goes without saying that we have “borrowed” from others in that we both cite and quote examples of program evaluation studies
from the literature. “Something blue” . . . well, we’re not sure about that. Those who have used the Fourth Edition might be interested in knowing what has changed in this new edition. Based on reviewers’ comments we have:
• Created a new chapter to explain sampling.
• Incorporated new material on designing questionnaires.
• Overhauled the chapter on qualitative evaluation. It is now “Qualitative and Mixed Methods in Evaluation.”
• Reworked the “Formative and Process Evaluation” chapter with expanded coverage on developing logic models.
• Added new studies and references; new Internet sources of information.
• Included new examples of measurement instruments (scales) with a macro
focus.
• Inserted new checklists and guides (such as ways to minimize and monitor for potential fidelity problems—Chapter 13).
• Revised the chapter “Writing Evaluation Proposals, Reports, and Journal Articles” to give it less of an academic slant. There’s new material on writing
executive summaries and considerations in planning and writing evaluation
reports for agencies.
• Deleted the chapter on Goal Attainment Scalin

Assessment
Three important characteristics of effective program assessment practices include: defining quality as a continuum rather than a finish line, creating a program assessment process that looks at the entire program (including administrative functions), and including the input of all stakeholders in the program assessment process.
In this discussion forum, you will focus on defining quality as a continuum rather than a finish line. This means, as the director, you should constantly be improving your program and facility. Based on your completed philosophy and vision statements from Week 1, Discussion 1, describe what this assessment characteristic will mean to you and your center. Be sure to specify the age group you will focus on (infants, toddlers, or preschoolers).
Include the following:
a. State the philosophy and vision of your center (including a short description).
b. Name the assessment characteristic and give a short description of what it means to you as the director.
c. Explain how this characteristic will be applied to your chosen program (including the steps you will take to ensure that continuous quality is comprehensively included in your assessment plan).
d. Describe your next steps. Explain the direction you would like your center to take to ensure continuous improvement.

Mission
A non-profit organization whose aim is to ensure that young children are physically, emotionally and spiritually equipped so that they can grow to be strong and resourceful people in the society. We strive to ensure children get the best childhood experiences by making learning fun and interesting.
Philosophy
The organization was opened in May 2018 to provide an environment where young children would be instilled values at a tender age in preparation for their future. We are also working towards identifying children talents and growing them. This will be achieved through holding talent shows and games open days where both parents and their young ones will participate. Our teachers have also gone through severe training on how to handle children and ensure they bring out the best in them.
Vision
To raise a talented, hardworking and respectful generation by knowing, understanding and empowering every child.

The program evaluation is a viable mechanism that is used in schools that seek to strengthen the quality ofeducation that they offer as well as improving the outcomes of the students. Today, many approaches that are used in the evaluation focus on education and especially about the key features of the program that will be evaluated. This paper will seek to describe the planned approach as it applied in education as well as the rationale for the strategy, description of the question areas and their rationale and finally the stockholders and the reasons they should be involved as well as the ways that can be used in obtaining their involvement.
Description
and Rationale
the Program Evaluation Approach
The Tylerian evaluation approach usually has a significant influence on both evaluation and education. His theory foresaw the concepts that will be used in today`s world in the improvement and multiple as the means of assessment. He defined the objectives as a way for the teachers to explain what they wanted to teach in the classes(Posavac, 2015). Through stating the goals in terms of what the students should do, Tyler believed that the teachers should plan more on their curricula so that they can be able to achieve more. Tyler eventually defined the program evaluation approach as a process of determining how best one is achieving its objectives (Jacobs, 2017). In the evaluation process, one should consider the following steps; establishment of the broad goals as well as the objectives, classifying the goals, define the objectives in terms of behavior, finding situation in which the achievement of the targets can be shown, development of the required measurement techniques, collecting the performance data and eventually compare the performance of the data with the behaviors that have been stated in the objectives.
Description of the
Question and their Rationale
Some of the description questions that can be asked on the process are why is there a discrepancy?
The discrepancy in education is the model that is usually used in the determination of whether a child is eligible for education. It usually refers to the mismatch between the child`s intellectual ability and their progres.

Process of Planning and Evaluation
The process of planning and evaluation is cyclical and their activities are interdependent. The activities happen in stages; the end of one activity or program leads to the next. The ideas, insights, and learning derived from a particular stage are likely to affect the decisions and activities of the next stage.
Despite this, the process of planning and evaluation is usually presented in a linear manner with sequential steps. The cycle is often affected by external influences. Planners and evaluators need to be flexible in responding to these influences
Health Program Models
Good health programs involve a good deal of effort and a well-developed model. These models provide direction and structure to the program to be built on. The models may not be used completely during the planning process, or various parts of the model may be combined to suit the program. There are some commonly used models in health program planning:
· Predisposing, Reinforcing, and Enabling Constructs in Educational Diagnosis and Evaluation (PRECEDE)-Policy, Regulatory, and Organizational Constructs in Educational and Environmental Development (PROCEED): Commonly known as the PRECEDE-PROCEED model, it is the most well-known model in this field because it is theoretically grounded and comprehensive. Planning, implementation, and evaluation are all combined in this model.
· The Model for Health Education Planning (MHEP) analyzes:
· Planning through six phases
· Content through three dimensions―subject matter, method, and process
· The Comprehensive Health Education Model (CHEM) consists of six major steps and several suggested procedures within each step.
· The Model for Health Education Planning and Resource Development (MHEPRD) is a less known model. The five major components of this model are―health education plans, demonstration programs, educational programs, research programs, and information and statistics. Each component represents the end result of the planning process. In this model, evaluation plays an integral part in each phase of the model.

This Assessment is a Work Product that is divided in to two parts. In Part I, you will describe the “NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria” (Document #3) and “NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Project Program Self-Assessment Checklist” (Document #4), and explain how these tools can be used in assessment, and in the case of the Accreditation Criteria, to support program quality.
In order to complete Part II, in which you evaluate an early childhood program, you will need to arrange a visit to a NAEYC-accredited program and interview the director. The Walden University Letter (Document #1) is a letter you can provide to the director explaining the purpose of your visit. You can find a list of accredited programs in your community here. Early in the competency schedule a date and time to visit and observe an accredited program and interview the director. Students will use this information to complete Part II of the assessment.
Explain that you are learning about program standards and practices supporting families and how to evaluate early childhood programs. Share the “NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria Overview” (Document #2), the “NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Project Program Self-Assessment Checklist,” (Document #4), and explain that you will be looking for evidence of Standard 7 and two additional standards you choose. Ask the director to meet with you to review the documents and to explain why s/he believes the accreditation process helps to ensure quality in early childhood settings. Obtain permission to spend a day at the school, visiting in classrooms and observing children and teachers in action. Explain that you will not identify the program or any personnel or children by name, nor will you take any pictures. As you conduct your observations, take notes about what you observe and mark your findings on the “NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria” (Document #3) and the “NAEYC’s Engaging Diverse Families Self-Assessment Checklist” (Document #4). During the interview take notes and use the checklist to complete the evaluation of the visit.

Identify strengths in their analyses and strategies for presenting evaluation results to others.
You provided an insightful analysis of this particular process evaluation, and it seems that you were able to design a comprehensive presentation guideline. I agree with your tactic to break the presentation up into categories, and the categories you have selected seem to address the major components of the program, the evaluation itself, and the findings of said evaluation. You also provided a great analysis and summary of the PATHS program. The purpose of the program is clear, and the overarching purpose of the evaluation was made clear in your synopsis as well.
Identify ways your colleagues might improve their presentations.
You addressed outcome measures very well, however, there may have been some lacking information in regards to overall evaluation methods as a whole. Addressing factors such as who was collecting the data, how they were trained, how their training or standing could limit potential bias, and similar information. This may be an important piece of information that could help to provide audience members with a better understanding of the evaluation processes as a whole.
Identify potential needs or questions of the audience that they may not have considered.

Academic Program
An effective recommendation for an academic program should have the following characteristics:
· Should consider the age of the learners
· Should consider the education requirements of the learners
· Should be geared towards improving the quality of education
· Should be realistic and have a time frame within which to achieve.
· Should go hand in hand with the way the world is moving
An example of such a recommendation is introducing a policy to ensure all students do a science subject to enhance innovation since the world is technology-based. This recommendation is effective since it goes hand in hand with the way the world is moving and is considering the education requirements of the learners. I will use the module resources to make my recommendation effective when implemented, will involve all people when making decisions regarding the improvement of the academic program.
The review of the undergraduate project is effective, and it is well organized. The review focuses on specific objectives that need to be met, and the writer is keen to note the objectives down and to make sure that the review achieves these objectives. It is also essential that the review was done after the report was conducted, and there was the involvement of all the members of the faculty. This is important as it helps the institution to develop a greater insight and to capture as much as possible opinions that will be used in the improvement of the program. This is great.
The document on the California state university is essential. This is because it brings out the report on the review in an authentic manner, and this is important for effective program improvement in the university. The review is essential as it helps to understand what can be done and what is necessary. The involvement of many of the people in the university is good as it helps even to bring out even a better review and improvement program.

Hi everyone.
I chose to evaluate the English Program at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville for this discussion. Some of the characteristics of an effective program review will include whether or not student learning is assessed, how it is being assessed, any challenges to assessment from faculty or students, what is working well with the process, what did not work well, and recommendations for improvement. The assessment from this particular University was interesting because it seemed to be infused with a lot of personality from the assessors.
The assessment was conducted during 2009 and it also happened to be taking place while the department was introducing a new curriculum. The faculty were introducing this curriculum ...

The Program Evaluation model chosen for this assignment is the responsive evaluation which is a client centered method that places the focus on the program activities instead of the program goals( Chyung, Wisniewski, Inderbitzen, & Campbell, 2013).This model is often used within social agencies or advocacy groups to evaluate the actual activities and their effectiveness through working closely with the stakeholders, including staff, clients, and others who provide support for these programs. To provide the best services, it is important to identify what is working and what areas need improvement in an ongoing process in order to meet the ever changing needs.
This will be an effective method to evaluate a faith based residential treatment program designed to help women in need to recover from harmful life cycle patterns. Within this program participants are presented with opportunities to learn life skills, parenting, job, and educational skills. The program has developed a goal for participants to become independent with a stable living environment where they are able to live free from abuse and substances.
The purpose of this evaluation is to identify areas that are creating the desired effects of success and to identify areas which need improvement. Additionally it is important to identify areas which are not working and decisions need to be made about changing or eliminating these activities. The stakeholders, or community members who have invested in the program through time, efforts, and financially are responsible for determining what areas get funding and support

The type of evaluation that will be used for the treatment program “Childhood Anxiety Center” will be a consumer oriented evaluation (Chyung, Wisniewski, Inderbitzen, & Campbell, 2013). This type of evaluation will relate how the program is run and the effects of the program to the needs of the population it is serving (Chyung, Wisniewski, Inderbitzen, & Campbell, 2013).
Remember, early childhood programs are not evaluated based on a single visit. You will not be able to observe evidence of all criteria during your observation. The goal of this assessment is to provide you with practice in identifying evidence related to program quality. Please keep this in mind as you conduct your observation and complete this Assessment.

As mentioned by Law and Shek (2011), this program was designed and facilitated in Hong Kong, Chi.

Julia Discussion:

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

1. The Program Oriented Evaluation Approaches Essay
Activity 1 Chapter 6 (Page 153)–Objectives/Program–Oriented Evaluation Approaches (OOEA): 20
Points 1. In one sentence, describe the Objectives Oriented Evaluation Approach to program
evaluation. The assessment is used to decide whether a program accomplishes the goals of the
program and ensures stakeholders stay on task producing constantly improving results by inspecting
all areas of the program, including determining needs, analyzing program costs, examining
employee roles and their responsibilities, conducting an economic and efficiency audit, and deciding
the next steps the program should undertake. 2. Take one program in your school district and
describe how the OOEAApproach could be used to evaluate its efficacy. Westside Consolidated
School District participates in the Summer Food Service Program that provides free meals for
individuals aged eighteen and under. An experienced unbiased evaluator should lead the evaluation
and preferable have experienced unbiased assistants (i.e. out of the district evaluators or evaluators
with no direct contact or vested interest in the program). The evaluation should involve the
inspection and understanding of the stated goals of the program (i.e. to provide meals to students
eighteen and under in the summer). Stated goals should be analyzed to identify vague or redundant
goals. A prior Risk Assessment Matrix is then used, modified or new one created to identify
common issues of similar programs compared to the program

3. Evaluation Of An Anti Bullying Program
Initially we thought we were going to be able to conduct an evaluation, but with lack of time, we
realized that was no longer feasible. Instead, we decided to take the idea of focusing on the
evaluation tools and develop an evaluation how–to of Rachel's challenge. Our goal was to have a
manual to present to UVMC and allow them to continue the evaluation further with our guided
manual. During our evaluation of Rachel's Challenge, it became a concern to us that this program
wasn't really a bullying prevention program, but more a program focused on character building.
After a lack of communication between the UVMC and Rachel's Challenge connections we decided
to shift our focus. We still wanted our final product to be a manual, but decided to focus on
presenting it to a broader audience. What we went forward with was developing a how–to manual
for evaluating an anti–bullying program. As I had already done some background research, getting
started went smoothly.
The process of developing the manual began with our previous class work. We used our complied
work as a reference point to set up the contents of the manual. Since our class work was focused on
Rachel's Challenge we had to redo everything, minus my background work. Section were divided
between Taylor and I and we each were responsible for three sections and manual and split
responsibility for continuing research on the background section. Dr. Green suggested we meet with
Randy, a research specialist from the library.

The breadth or narrowness of goals espoused by 21st Century programs (and how well these goals
align with centers' activities) is likely to exert a strong influence on the types of effects achieved by
individual centers and the program as a whole. While programs can produce a range of unintended
results, it is reasonable to assume that programs will effect changes in the specific outcomes they
seek to influence, rather than those they see as outside their mission or current capability (Jason,
2008). For example, programs that concentrate on improving reading achievement and exclude areas
of creative expression may see some improvements in achievement, but they are unlikely to show
very many other intermediate or long–term effects (for example, higher aspirations). Importantly,
this implies that after–school programs more closely approximating the broad mix of emphases
defining the 21st Century "intended program" are likely to exhibit impacts across a broader range of
outcomes (Bryant, Clifford, Early, & Little, 2005). Current State of the Program Pre–K is

A therapy program targeted to adults 21 years and older, the Sensory Program focuses on sensory
integration, rehabilitation, and quality of life (Aptus Treatment Centre, 2016). Sensory integration is
the process of absorbing sensory information followed by organizing and assigning meaning to said

Training is vital for any and every organization. With the changing socio–economic and

improvement in skills in jobs'. The present day definitions take a multi–dimensional perspective

understanding and behaviors between the two points in time, the direction of the change.
Additionally, a paired sample t–test will help us understand if the change is statistically significant.

from conducting an action research project in a group versus completing a project alone. During our
program we learned about allowing for different formats during assessment or classroom activities.
Therefore, I believe that some students may have preferred working with a group on such a
significant project. The fact that students would be allowed to work with people from different
backgrounds and with different personality types to complete a project would equate with real world
experience. The opportunity to work with people is why the practicum is such a valuable experience.

Overview of Program Evaluation
Program evaluation is a useful resource to evaluate programs that are currently an organization or an

evaluators can consider. The specific questions being addressed by an evaluation or the specific
aspects of the program setting often make one or another of the models especially useful" (Posavac
& Carey, 2007, p.23–25). The models: The traditional model, Social Science model, Industrial
Inspection model, Black Box Evaluation, and Objectives–Based Evaluation model, are very
common and helpful in different types of organizations and environment. The model that is very
interesting to use and describe is the Objective–Based Evaluation model.
Objectives–Based Evaluation
In an effort to design an evaluation for a specific program, some approaches emphasize working
with clearly stated program goals and objectives so that the degree to which such goals and
objectives are achieved can be measured. "This has been the most prevalent model used for program
evaluation. Examining goals and objectives seems to be an essential aspect of evaluation; it is
important to judge a program relative to its particular structure and what it is designed to achieve"
(Posavac & Carey, 2007, p.23–25). It is very important for organizations to clearly and closely

19. Comprehensive School Counseling Program Evaluation Essay
In order to provide a comprehensive school counseling program (CSCP) that meets the unique needs
of Ocean Elementary School, the school counselor must understand the needs of the school.
Therefore, conducting a needs assessment can help a new school counselor to evaluate the CSCP in
order to plan, implement, and improve the effectiveness of the program (Astramovich & Coker,
2007). Additionally, utilizing the accountability bridge counseling program evaluation model, a
continuous evaluation cycle helps to improve services based on stakeholder feedback, the needs of
those served, and outcomes (Astramovich & Coker, 2007). Within this model, a needs assessment
must be conducted in order to plan and develop services that address the needs of the students
(Astramovich & Coker, 2007). Thus, by utilizing assessment questionnaires, the school counselor
can gather information from the diverse population of students, parents, teachers, and administrator
to determine how the CSCP can best support all students' needs (American School Counselor
Association [ASCA], 2012). Additionally, the use of other data, such as observations, standardized
test scores, absentee rates, and student referrals can support the feedback received on the
questionnaires. Based on the data, the school counselor can evaluate the school counseling program
in order to improve the program in the domain areas of academic, social/emotional, and career
development. Thus, within the accountability bridge counseling

new is the growing prominence and frequency of consultation activities, particularly those involving
large numbers of participants. As the prominence of consultation increases, it is sometimes unclear
precisely how client consultation helps managers make better decisions. Managers need to know
that, and how to design the consultation process accordingly. Client consultation is linked to the
measurement of client satisfaction. You must identify the gaps between what clients expect or need

Developing a program can be a difficult task to achieve. You have to take many things into
consideration and think about short– and long–term operation of the program. To make a program
successful you have to evaluated the program, and share program results to get feedback. Program
evaluating are necessary because it forces community nutritionist to determine if the program will
be a success or a failure. When they are evaluating the program the are looking for ways to improve
their program, to show accountability, and to document the program in general. When they are
improving their program they are: 1) examine their initial goals, new making goals that need to be
achieved, 2)identity and improving any weakness that are found in the content of the program and 3)
measuring the effectiveness of the staff, leadership, and resources of the program. When the program
is evaluated to show accountability it justify the budget, staff resources, program and procedures,
and compares program outcomes against program standards. When evaluating to document the
program it records client attendance and progress, the completeness rate of the program by clients,
and documents the weakness of the program by staff and clients. The utilization evaluation findings

This question which is narrowed down by the results in a complicated statistical form does not
address the fact that each comparison group that Margo chose was not labeled as deficient in the
classroom or on their standardized test as the Team Read readers were when they were chosen for
Team Read. These results that were detailed in Margo's evaluation lacked credibility as the sample
comparison group was generally not the same as the Team Read program participants. The
participant often took what is referred to as a similar test but differs in comparison which can cause
validity issues around the board for the independent evaluator. The second research question the
independent evaluator chose to ask was how does the program affect the reading coaches? This
question was extremely general and could be answered in a number of different ways; Margo chose
a questionnaire that was answered by Team Read coaches to determine whether or not they were
impacted by the Team Read Program. The results were generally positive as Trish McKay had felt
the same way about the results, as they were looked upon in a positive light. The questionnaire was
administered towards the late stages of the school year as students were beginning to wind down all
programs and head into summer. This questionnaire differed in response from one area to the next

27. Evaluation Of A Program Evaluation
Introduction The purpose of a program evaluation is to assess working programs and determine if
the outcomes are sufficiently effective (Houser, 2015). Program Evaluations are a type of action
research leading to improved programs and services for the designated populations. Feedback from
stakeholders is necessary to confirm the program is operating to the highest quality and standards
(Astramovich & Coker, 2007). The program conducted serves adult military personnel who are
diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The program implements Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through a twelve–week program consisting of twenty–four, sixty minute
sessions. The stakeholders include military personnel and their family, veterans and their family, The
U.S. Department of Veterans Affair, and the U.S. Government. The program will be dissected in
order to identify the goals, data and instrumentation, data analysis, and dissemination of the program
evaluation.
Goals of the Program Evaluation The first goal of the CBT program is to identify methods for
implementing CBT on to military bases to support military personnel who have been diagnosed with
PTSD. The first data point supports the goal through a qualitative focus group with the deliverance
of a psychoeducation on PTSD to military personnel and their families. A second data point to
support the program is the use of quantitative structured interviews with military personnel and

29. Evaluation Plan For Training And Development Program
Training and development is a key component to any organization's current and future success. By
fostering a learning oriented organization, you are creating a culture and environment that will
deliver high quality service and products, anticipate and prepare for the future needs of the
organization, and increase both customer and employee satisfaction. Training and development must
be supported by the Human Resource function, and utilized by senior management to drive staffing
strategy and decisions, performance management, and meet operational goals. In order for the
training and development program to be successful at all levels, it must be properly designed,
implemented, and evaluated. Below, we will discuss the seven steps of the training design process to
demonstrate the best practices and organizational importance of a strong training and development
program.
The seven steps of the training design process are: a needs assessment, ensuring employee readiness
for training, creating a learning environment, ensuring the transfer of training, developing an
evaluation plan, selecting a training method, and monitoring and evaluating the program (Noe,
2013, p. 11). Starting with the needs assessment, it consists of "three elements: organizational
analysis, person analysis, and task analysis" (Noe, 2013, p. 121). Organizational analysis "is

Program Evaluation Time–Out is the title for the proposed program, providing prevention and
solution–based services to African American high school student–athletes in Hampton, Virginia
(Baskerville, 2015). To begin with, this paper will provide a comprehensive program evaluation
model for the program. Secondly, it will outline the evaluation framework the program will use to
evaluate the program. Next, the paper will provide a timeline detailing when critical evolution task
for the program will take place. Leading to, how program evaluation will maintain the program's
sustainability. From there, the paper will explain how the evaluation results will be shared with the
stakeholders and the community. In conclusion, it will discuss strategies to create a culture of
evaluation within the program. Theoretical framework The program evaluation begins with the
program design to assess overall effectiveness and efficiency of implementation of the program
(Calley, 2011). To illustrate the program evaluation, a theoretical framework has been developed
using Calley's Comprehensive Program Development Model's for the proposed program, using the
three major evaluations: fidelity assessment, process evaluation, outcomes evaluation. Fidelity
Assessment Fidelity assessment evaluates a program's ability to implement its original program
design. With that said, the Treatment Fidelity Assessment Checklist will be used to assess the

35. Evaluation Of A Program Evaluation
Consider how you would evaluate your program relative to each of the components. Linnan and
Steckler (2002) describe the following key process evaluation components: Context–aspects of the
larger social environment that may affect implementation; Reach–the proportion of the intended
audience to whom the program is actually delivered; Dose–delivered–The amount of intended units
of each program component that is delivered; Dose–received–the extent to which participants
engage with the program; Fidelity–the extent to which the intervention was delivered as intended (
Bartholomew et al., 2011. p.526). Program evaluation is an important tool to show that the health
interventions have been effective and they also intend to improve the health of the target population.
Evaluation helps define the worth of a program. It is imperative to conduct program evaluation in
order to provide feedback to improve the effectiveness of the program. Evaluation plans should be
developed at the beginning of the health program interventions. The CDC framework for program
evaluation is comprised of the following steps:1) Engage stakeholders; 2) Describe the program; 3)
Focus on evaluation design; 4) Gather credible evidence; 5) Justify conclusions; 6) Ensure use and
share lessons learned. Also listed are the four standards for assessing the quality of evaluation
activities: utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy (CDC, 2013). According to an article in the

37. Evaluation Of A Program Evaluation
According to Mertens and Wilson, program evaluation is a systematic method for collecting,
analyzing, and using information to answer questions about projects, policies and programs,
particularly about their effectiveness and efficiency. Stakeholders often want to know whether the
programs they are funding and supporting are effective. While program evaluation first focuses on
the effectiveness of the program, other important factors to take into consideration is cost of the
program, improvements that could be made, outcomes of the program, and usefulness of the
program. Evaluators help to answer these questions, and stakeholders have to work with the
evaluators in order to come to the best conclusion about the effectiveness of a program so that all
aspects are taken into consideration. Program evaluations can involve both quantitative and
qualitative methods of research. People who do program evaluation come from many different
backgrounds, such as sociology, psychology, economics, social work, and public policy. Some
graduate schools also have specific training programs for program evaluation. Rossi, Lipsey and
Freeman suggest the following kinds of assessment, which may be appropriate at these different
stages: assessment of the need for the program, assessment of program design and logic/theory,
assessment of how the program is being implemented, assessment of the program 's outcome or
impact, assessment of the program 's cost and efficiency, and assessing needs.

With this being stated; a program evaluation should be performed to see what changes need to be
made to help their mission. It is clear that the services that they are providing are not as effective
any more. Some technical and political aspects of the program planning and evaluation I might
encounter in the program scenario I chose, may be trying to reach out to those individuals that are or
have been involved with the criminal justice system. Funding may not allow for these services to be
provided to these individuals. Another aspect may be that the community is not aware of this
program and the services that it provides. Grants could be another issue. If the program cannot show
its effectiveness then grants may not be given and this could results in loss of services provided. A
political aspect could be that one "favoritism" over evaluations. Some may use their political
influence to "guide" the evaluation to present or not present the "selected" truth. (Yuen, 2003) There
are many pressures from the individual who performs the evaluation to make it look; "good" This is
a big political concern for programs. The technical concern or aspect could be the service delivery

41. The Four Levels Of Training Evaluation Is Defined As A...
Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of training evaluation is defined as a technique for evaluating training
programs, created by Donald Kirkpatrick in 1959. The Kirkpatrick model is the worldwide standard
for evaluating the effectiveness of training. The four levels of this technique incorporate assurance
of how learners respond to the learning procedure, the achievement of skill acquisition by learners,
the degree to which workplace behavior after the training demonstrates skill acquisition, and
quantifiable outcomes, including expanded profits or decreasing any defects observed. Donald

This evaluation technique is defined as a detailed study of a market or geographical area to gather
data on the attitudes, impressions, opinions, satisfaction level and etc. by targeting and polling a
section of the people. Surveys are low cost and also very effective as long as the participant is
unbiased. Surveys can be administered to the participants through a various number of ways. The
questionnaires can be simple and sent by email or through the Internet, which is easily accessible.
Online surveys have quickly become a popular way of gathering data and conducing surveys. It is
also extremely convenient and does not take up much time. The surveys should have only relevant
questions that reflect the training that was just conducted. It should also be conducted right after the
training when the trainees are still sure about what they have experienced. If the survey is handed to
them too late, the data collected could differ. Simple questions should be asked with a "yes or no"
option as well as a 1 to 10 rating scale. At the end of the survey, there should be an open–ended box
where the trainees are able to freely write how they feel about the training as well as what can be

43. Program Evaluation : An Essential Tool For Value Check
Introduction Over the years, program evaluation is an essential tool for value check of either the
whole program or some aspect of the program (Psoavac and Carey, 2007). Program evaluation is
more popular in health related educational programs. In order to determine the extent the
educational system achieves its stated objectives and goals, Tylers in the 1930s developed a model
(Owston, 2008). The model developed by Tylers shows a deliberate simplification of how the
objectives of the education program are achieved. Tylers evaluation model was used in one or two
generations of educational program evaluators (Scriven, 1999), and acts as a basis for developing
the present models. However, the present models went beyond determining the ... Show more

The aim of this essay is to provide an overview of three evaluation models based on their different
conceptual approaches. Kirkpatrick, logic and Context/input/process/product (CIPP) models are the
three models discussed in this essay. The three models were chosen because of their relevance and
popularity in evaluating educational programs. The first part of this essay explains in details with
examples the three models. Subsequently, an objective of a Nigerian physiotherapy educational
program will be used to compare and contrast the three models. The overview of the models The
conceptual approaches to evaluation of an educational program are not the techniques, rather the
major theoretical assumptions for each of the evaluation models (Fitzpatrick et al., 2004). Goal–
oriented (objective –oriented) and system–oriented (management–oriented) are the two popular
approaches adopted by some of the evaluation models. For instance, Logic model adopted the goal–
oriented approach while the CIPP adopted the system–oriented approach. Kirkpatrick model's
multi–level application is flexible to adapt to any of the approaches. The goal–oriented approach
simply determines the extent to which the goals of a program are achieved (Eseryel, 2002), while
system–oriented, specifically the management–oriented approach, is based on using systems of
education as input, process and output to provide information for decision making ( Alkin, 2011).

45. Do You Want A Performance Audit Or A Program Evaluation?...
Government organizations are developed out of the funding provided by the government to meet the
needs of the community. In order to ensure that these agencies are adequately meeting these needs,
they are reviewed by internal or external entities. This paper will review performance audits and
program program evaluations as a form of assessments that may be conducted as well as their
effectiveness in identifying the performance expectations. Additionally, the paper will review
California's Auditor Controller methods of review and the impact it has on changing current
practices of organizations. Overall, the research found will demonstrate that while a variety of
assessments exist the availability to these two forms of reviews are limited due of the tie to funding.
Types of Review
In recent times, many departments and agencies are coming under review to determine their
effectiveness. The organizations' capacity to manage or effectiveness in what it sets out to do is what
is a question. In the article, "Do you want a Performance Audit or a Program Evaluation?", by
Dwight F. Davis, the author distinguishes these two practices. The author defines performance
audits as it "...involve[s] a determination of the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of
government organization..." (Davis, 1990, pg35). While program evolution is the "...systemic
application of social research procedures in assessing the conceptualization and design,
implementation and utility..."(Davis, 1990, pg35).

47. Implementation Of A Transitional Care Program Evaluation
For a transitional care program evaluation, it is requisite to combine two separate theories to aid in
addressing the problem of poor transitional care outcomes, the process of measuring outcomes, and
the creation of recommendations for improvement. A middle range nursing theory, Transitions
theory centers on the process of individuals' transitions and addresses the barriers to and principles
of successful transitional outcomes (Meleis, 2010). The theory is both descriptive and predictive, it
can be used to further describe and define the problem of poor transitions and its barriers as well as
identify outcomes that signal successful interventions in individuals (Meleis, Sawyer, Im, Messias,
& Schumacher, 2000). The indicators of successful interventions as defined by Transitions Theory
can guide the selection of the types of outcomes to be measured by the program evaluation to ensure
that outcomes that reflect transitional success are selected. Furthermore, the principles of healthy
transitions identified by Transitions Theory will aid in the creation of recommendations for program
improvement. Continuous quality improvement (CQI) will be joined with Transitions Theory in the
program evaluation. Although originally developed by business managers, CQI is best known for its
use in manufacturing settings, specifically in the automotive industry (Radawski, 1999). CQI was

Abstract The overall purpose of this paper is to compare program planning with program evaluation
in a human service organization by describing how the two components are related. There will be
examples of how program planning and evaluation interrelate with the PEACE Domestic Violence
Agency scenario from Appendix B. We will also look at the technical and political aspects of
program planning and evaluation that might encounter in the PEACE Domestic Violence Agency
scenario, and how these aspects could affect the planning and evaluation process. Program Planning

There are a number of methods of collecting data, some of them are – questionnaire, surveys,
checklists, interviews, observations, focus group etc (Cordray, 1986; Einhorn and Hogarth, 1986).
Once the data has been collected, it needs to be used effectively for efficient results. This is where
program planning comes in. According to Trochim and Linton (1986), there is a need for concept
mapping for planning and evaluation processes. A number of steps are involved in concept planning,
such as – * Identifying the most critical need of the clientele * Accessing our ability to satisfy that
need * Planning and delivering program to address that need * Evaluating the outcome of the
process Program planning is the implementation of evaluation process. It is the groundwork where
priorities are decided and the results are analyzed on a measurable scale. In the present scenario,
PEACE will use findings from the government data collection project (Secondary data collection
technique) to inform the development of family and domestic violence strategic planning, and to
benchmark the impact of initiatives to violence and trauma in Portland. This will also include data
by conducting comprehensive surveys across the community, and studying police reports on the
related cases (Primary data collection technique) to know the reasons and impact of violence. This
data will be used by a

youths, and the parents filled out the survey on their positive experiences that they had with the
clinician. The teacher and staff filled out their satisfaction survey that pertained to the effectiveness
of the clinician when working with the students at the end of the year. At the end of the year, the
surveys were distributed to the school administrators to be completed and returned to the School
Mental Health Program. In addition, there were assessments that the principal had to rate their
perceptions on the school atmosphere. Also, the School Mental Health Program clinicians provided
workshops that were affiliated with the school. At the workshops, the clinicians distributed
satisfaction forms that were provided to the respondents and collected by the clinicians. First,

63. Evaluation Of A Program Evaluation
A Program Evaluation is an important factor in determining if an agency is producing successful
results. Usually a program evaluation is requested or brought forth by a specific concern that is in
need of being addressed. This type of practice–based research method provides agencies with
accountability. Sometimes a program evaluation is needed in order for some agencies to continue to
receive funding to keep their programs, to meet accreditation standards, and to ensure clients are
being helped by the programs (Royse, 2011). Before performing a program evaluation, it is
important to consider many factors such as time, resources, audience, and purpose. A time limit for
an agency evaluation could change the direction the evaluation goes. Resources are definitely an
important aspect of the evaluation. A lack of resources could result in a simpler process whether
than a copyrighted tool for an evaluation. The type of audience and purpose will in turn decide
which type of method is to be implemented. The written report should be prepared for the type of
audience that will be examining it. Each audience will require their unique writing style (Royse,
2011). For example, if the audience is a group of high school students, it would be necessary to
write in a less complex writing style.

These factors include ethnicity, poverty, and immigration status. The evaluation will be analyzed to
better deliver the services to the target population of uninsured and underinsured children. The
comparing of different groups will be done through contingency tables. The qualitative analysis
such as the interviews, surveys and data will gather themes that are present in all of the information.
The qualitative data source will serve a purpose for program accountability, monitoring and
improvement. The participant surveys, staff interviews, and funder's focus group will provide
information on whether the program is operating as expected, how the program is operating and
which part of the program is more or less successful. This evaluation will be utilized by many of the
stakeholders. The program manager and the staff of Department of Health and Social Services will
use the findings to refine program strategies. The findings will help guide the program to focus on
areas that are most crucial for effective service delivery. The clinical staff of all the public schools
will use the findings to steer the children's families to obtain health care coverage and connect them
with the program. Robert Wood Johnson foundation will use the findings to determine the future
funding distribution for the program. The superintendent of Stamford Public Schools will use the
findings in advocacy efforts.

Program Evaluation and Measurement tools Hypertension (HTN) is a chronic illness that serves as a
main risk factor for cardiovascular disease (Hanus, Simoes, Amboni, Ceretta, & Tuon, 2015).
Although medication can manage HTN appropriately, lifestyle modifications make a substantial
difference as well. However, many patients go through behavior stages in which he or she
contemplate on making the necessary changes to improve their health. One solution to the problem
is the development of an educational Hypertension Intervention and Follow–Up program (HIFP).
Studies have shown that active educational interventions that incorporate small groups are more

Utilizing the CDC's framework for evaluation will allow the program design to be tailored for
implementation. Efficacy is defined as the ability to produce the desired result ("Efficacy," n.d.).
One way to establish efficacy is to test the knowledge of the health care providers. The blood
pressure program will be ineffective if the providers lack HTN knowledge. The author will plan to
evaluate fluctuations in employee knowledge, attitudes, and viewpoints about blood pressure
screening and control. Furthermore, the health care team members need to understand how to
measure a manual blood pressure adequately. Accurate blood pressure readings will facilitate more
validity in the results (CDC, 2014). Efficiency distinctly represents the ability to accomplish tasks in
the least amount of time and effort ("Efficiency," n.d.). Measurement tools used for determining
efficiency will be proper staffing, working equipment, various sizes of blood pressure cuffs, and
acceptable space for the program. Quality is the characteristic or feature that something possesses

Program Evaluation Program evaluation is a tool used for evaluating and assessing a program in
place. This paper will describe program evaluation and how it can be useful for an organization
wishing to determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and the impact of a program. Five of the most
common program evaluation models will be introduced. A number of different models are used by
those who evaluate programs. This paper will describe, in detail, the success case method for
evaluations.

Five Most Common Types of Program Evaluation Models The five most common types of program
evaluations are ones that assess the program's efficiency, assess the program's design and theory,
assess the program's impact on the community or end user, assess the program's process or
implementation, and assess the need for the program.
Success Case Model for Evaluation According to Brinkerhoff (1983), success case evaluation seeks
qualitative information about a few subjects rather than seeking thinner, quantifiable data about
many subjects. The success case model derives information from those participants who have
benefited from the program according to the goals and objectives the program intends to have. This
feedback may be helpful to others who have not benefitted as well from the program. "Success cases
may be studies briefly through short interviews with a few trainees or through more elaborate
approaches, such as work–sample analysis, records analysis and observation" (Brinkerhoff, 1983,
para. 9). Some uses of the success case method are illustrating that the program has a positive
impact, modifying and strengthening the program being evaluated, and building data collection
methods to determine the extent of

School Committees, RTI Members of the IEP team are, the school psychologist, school counselor,
assistant principal of special education, speech therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist
and social workers. Members of the PPT are the same members of the IEP including the RTI
coordinator. The PPT uses an individual case conference to determine if the needs of that individual
student have suggestions for school wide interventions or programs. If the student is having
problems academically or behaviorally, the PPT closely examines that student's case to see if the
school can change to better this student. As described by the school psychologist, RTI is a three–tier
program that mainly focuses on prevention. The school concentrate on prevention by ensuring the
school is using appropriate and evidence based methods to work with all students. RTI assist the
school in determining which students need individual intervention and services and makes the PPT
/IEP team aware of areas where there are school wide issues that need to be addressed. The PPT
team determines what tier the student should be categorized in by using observational notes and
academic data. Tier 1 is standards aligned instructions for all students and is the benchmark. Tier 2
is supplemental interventions for students at some risk and is strategic. Tier 3 is supplemental
interventions for students at high risk and is intensive. The PPT performs according to the tier the
child falls into. The RTI plays a

Introduction The article Program Evaluation: Strategies to Facilitate Agencies' Use of Evaluation in
Program Management and Policy Making discusses the United States Government Accountability
Office attempting to view how various federal agencies utilize program evaluations The
Government Accountability Office (GOA) "examines the use of public funds; evaluates federal
programs and policies; and provides analyses, recommendations, and other assistance to help
Congress make informed oversight, policy, and funding decisions"( U.S Government Accountability
Office, 2013, p. 1). The article discusses a sample of 4,391 individuals split from a larger population
of those employed by federal agencies. Of the population the individuals consisted of program
managers and supervisors from 24 executive agencies including the Chief Evaluation Office,
Administration for Children and Families, and Food Nutrition Service. From the dates of 2012 and
2013 a web–based survey was administered in an effort to view how program and performance
evaluations are being used and complications of performance measures and information. Part I One
strength according to the article, when the participants were interviewed is that some of the mangers
from these federal agencies who had evaluations reported the tool is useful and beneficial to

Choosing an evaluation depends, to a great extent, on the program being presented to stakeholders,
clients or other individuals; the program must encompass different aspects that would directly affect
the plan's efficiency, effectiveness, cost and overall purpose.
Alvin Independent School District, for instance, has a program in place which assists individuals
between the ages of 18 and 21 to earn a high school diploma. The goal of this program is to target
the demographic needs of the community and the drop–out rate within the school district. Further,
this program aligns itself with the school district's goals and academic performance, which states
that "emphasis will be placed on initiating strategies aimed at closing the achievement ... Show more

In this case, applying a utilitarian model called the objectives–oriented model would allow the
individuals conducting the evaluation to "determine the extent to which program objectives have
been achieved" (Daniels, 2010, p. 176). Further, in this case, the application of the Provus
discrepancy model can be part of program's assessment of data which establishes whether the
program requires improvements, adjustments, termination or, if the program should continue on its
course (Daniels, 2010). It is the design of Provus discrepancy model which would allow the
counselor and administrators to effectively present the results of the program for the evaluation
targets concrete results, such as, student enrollment and graduation. Every academic year, OPTIONS
accepts students who experience personal circumstances which do not allow them to continue an
education and, thus, and encounter difficulties in acquiring a job. Until now, the OPTIONS program
has been an invaluable asset to the community, the school district, and, above all, the individual
student who surpasses different obstacles to obtain a higher degree of

The plan has added another targeted population and other agencies that will be used for particular
services. The plan will outline how the relationship between this agency and other services providers
would function, and the evaluation would outline whether or not the agencies meet the guidelines set
