The main character was originally in a gang but he meets a
girl who is head strong about education and it is his
decision whether he stays with the gang or moves on with
his love interest.
In addition is questions the viewers looking at the film
poster and trailer “are you with us or not?” are you going to
watch the movie?The use of “us” suggests that there are
many people going to watch the movie and “or not?” is like
a threat so the audience is urged to watch the movie.
4. Basic Plot synopsis:
A young boy aged 18.
He lives with his mum and his younger brother which he loves a lot but
they live near the poverty line; struggling to pay the bills on time.
He joins a gang which help provide him money for his family.
On his way to meet up with his gang he walks past a girl who he attends
his school which he hardly goes to.The more he spends time with her
the more he wants to attend school again however he is pulled between
his education and staying in the gang which helps his family live happier.
Frustrated and confused, he stumbles across some money that him and
his gang have made from their recent ‘event’, instead of splitting the
money equally he takes all of it for him and his family.
The gang finds out and threatens him and his family.
He was given a warning and didn’t listen then the gang kidnaps his
younger brother. And threatens the mother on the phone.
Once everything is solved he does spend time in prison for all the past
illegal acts he has committed.
