Questioner profiling
We distributed questioner in our school and also to random people and the result is following

                                          AGE?

                                19-22
                                 30%

                                                       15-18
                                                        70%

From our questionnaires we noticed that age groups (15-18) they like watching movies,
teenagers have no responsibility , they do not have to earn for some body, or they do not have
to work all they have to do is study, besides studying they have other activities like watching TV,
games etc.

They have a lot of free time to watch a movie, so they watch every kind of movie when they are
free for e.g. Kidult hood is a social realism film, their target audiences were basically teenagers,
so the ratio of teenagers (15-18) is more than the ratio of (19-22) adults

Age group (19-22), when the college is finished, students go to universities, they have a very
busy schedule in universities they don’t get enough time to watch films and they might not be
interested in watching social realism films unless the movie is a bug hit or something, so their
ratio is less than the teenagers
Gender?

                                                         Male
                                                         45%

                             Femle
                              55%

As compare to male and female, male likes watching action movies, they are not into social
realism films unless they have interest in society issues, students might watch social realism
films as well, drugs issue is also covered in social realism films.

Females like watching movies, they watch every movie, females are emotional and they
interested in society issues, society issues also cover female rights, so female would definitely
like to watch social realism films.
How many people watch social realism film?

                                                  watch social
                                                  realism films
                                                       33%

                             do not watch
                                 67%

It actually depends on the target audience, but over all there is not enough audience for the
social realism films unless the film is a big hit. Nowadays people do not really care about society
issues/social realist. They are more in action movies or comedy or love stories and there are
very few social films which are a hit like “Dirty Pretty Things”
WHICH LOCATION WORKS BEST FOR THE
                   SOCIAL REALISM FILMS?

                                         park
                                          9%
                                 house
                                  10%

                             village café/pub
                              23% 58%

It depends on the movie that what location will suite. Café/ pub can be used for many things,
village can be used to show child labor or how poor people live etc., house can be shown to
show child abuse etc. and park, it actually depends on the situation, the movie.
who has the more dominating factor?

                            female
                             40%

                                                    male
                                                    60%

Female characters are dominated by the male character; there is always a hero (male) and a
villain (female) and because there is a hero, then there is a heroine!

Male characters are powerful then female characters, females can never be powerful then
male.
which themes do you think social realism
                         films focus on?
  relationship/friend
          ship
          10%
               domestic violence
                    10% child labor
                                                       20%

                                   culture abuse
                                    20% 20%

                                             drug
                                             20%

There are so many issues which should be focus on, there is not only one! It depends on the director
what they want their target audience to know, what message they want to deliver?
music plays an important role?

                                       no
                                      20%

                                                        yes
                                                        80%

Music plays an important role because it basically involves the target audience in the movie, it gives a
complete look, without sound effects movie is always incomplete!
my idea: child labour is a good idea?
                                               no
                                               0%

                                              yes
                                             100%

Well everybody thinks that it is a good idea because poverty is so common in now a day that poor
children have to go out and work for their parents!
