1. PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION
The Old Bag Activity
BALLOONS
Think of five items that symbolize something about your life
which you would like to put in an old bag (past, present, future,
characteristics, personality, dreams/wishes) write a short
paragraph describing the items you will put inside your bag &
explain why you chose those items. Tell also something about
your bag and explain why you chose that design or style.

It symbolizes my present happenings in life. A
balloon is like a situation that gives me a cause
to celebrate, uplifting my spirit, &
acknowledging that something good has to
happen. Also, it reminded me of the movie "Up"
where it symbolizes hopes and dreams.
WHITE FLAG
It symbolizes my past. The color white in a flag
stands for peace & surrender. I know that I have
too many wrongdoings in the past. but if there's
this one person I want to forgive, it is my
younger self. I know why she did those things. I
want to tell her that it wasn't her fault and it's
okay. I'm glad that she found her way home.
AN EGG
An egg is a symbol of new life and it stands for my
future. If there is one thing I would like to share with
anyone, it's my mantra, about self-growth. There
may be battles you think you can't overcome, but
always remember if it's hard, it only means that
you're progressing. Never stop believing how much
you can do more for yourself.
MIRROR
A mirror symbolizes my personality. The mirror shows
my true image. It does not usually give pretty
pictures, but it gives that realistic picture of myself.
And that is what you see with me, I don't indulge in
flattery nor do I indulge in criticism. Ask me what I
think about you, and I give you the true picture, not
too positive, not too negative, just the real you.
RUBIK'S CUBE
Personally, I think I'm always figuring myself out.
I'm intensely annoying, but once I am understood, I
know I am likable. I'm quite colorful, literally, and I
have patterns and I enjoy them. But most
importantly, I am flexible. I am made and broken
and made again by anyone who interacts with me.
ABOUT MY BAG
I chose a backpack simply because it reminds me of
my little self. Back in grade school, I used to love
backpacks instead of roller bags. Even though it's
heavy, it's accessible whenever and wherever I go.
For me, a bag is a sign of responsibilities in life. The
things you carry in a bag reveal different
information about your own life.
