The New Foundation is reaching out to the local community for volunteers and donations to help complete renovation and beautification projects on their 40-year-old campus. They have taken out a loan to fund $1 million in dorm renovations but have additional projects that are currently only on a wish list, including removing awnings, repaving parking lots and sidewalks, and interior and exterior painting. These projects would benefit the 300 children served annually by providing a safer and more supportive environment. Interested volunteers can visit their website to learn more.

2. Recently at the New Foundation campus, we started
a $1 million renovation project on our residential
dorms.
While we do have construction crews working hard
to complete the project one dorm at a time, the
New Foundation campus is in need of help with
many other projects. Currently, these projects are
just on a “wish list.”

3. The New Foundation had to take out a loan to
update our facilities’ design and fixtures and allow
for compliance of Arizona’s recent anti-ligature
requirements. We are a nonprofit organization,
therefore we did not have the funds on hand to
complete all of the work necessary to update our
40-year-old facility. That is why the leaders of the
New Foundation have put out a call to the local
community to help complete all of these
renovations and beautification projects.

4. Some of the items on this wish list include removal
of large metal awnings; repaving the facility’s
parking lot and sidewalks; and exterior and interior
painting. The New Foundation says these projects,
when completed, can have a therapeutic effect on
the children here by giving them a sense of safety,
support and pride.

5. As a community-based 501(c) nonprofit
organization, the New Foundation provides
behavioral health and education services for more
than 300 Arizonan children annually. The care
provided at the New Foundation is based on
adolescent developmental research. Our staff
ensures it addresses the unique needs of each
individual child and family. We are always in need of
volunteers, and there are many projects that
community members can do here to help improve
