PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) teaches important life skills to primary school students. It focuses on developing healthy, active lifestyles through physical activity and learning about relationships, nutrition, hygiene and safety. The subject covers 8 interrelated strands including active lifestyles, dance, games, growth and development, gymnastics, relationships, health choices and safe living. It helps children acquire skills and attitudes needed to live productively, value themselves and others, and make healthy choices.
