When questioned by Pharisees about the greatest commandment, Jesus responds that the greatest is to love God with all one's heart, soul, and mind. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus says that following these two commandments fulfills the whole of Jewish law and prophecy. Loving God means making him the focus of one's entire being. Loving neighbors requires a supernatural ability to feel what others feel and put their needs first, which can only come through living according to the Spirit rather than human nature.

16. III. What really is the point here? “ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” What an earthshaking commandments which tells us feel what others feel This means having the willingness to tear off our skin and wrap it around another person.

18. For something very selfless to happen something SUPERNATURAL has to happen

19. Romans 8:4 “ in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.” God has to do it through us !

20. Conclusion Jesus said something astonishing here “ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.“ Literally it means “hanging”
