The Rock’s dress and the iconography, match in colour and stylistic toughness and simplicity. This
is to indicate who it is that is the more notable protagonist – not in physical stature, but in the
amount of character development provided.
The boxes being pink and stacked on top of one another, are to signify to the audience, that the
girl has her own functionality, that is all of her own in the pink colour. The stacking is to hint at her
personality and attitude, being of someone who is a lot more older than she currently is in the
movie – and as growth in vertical height, signifies age, the stacked luggage helps this along for her.
The Bulldog is shown to be in a tutu, as the two features interwoven with each other, makes for
there to be a juxtaposition. For someone like The Rock’s character, he thrives off of simplicity and
clarity in his football games in order to achieve a score at the end of his team’s game that is
optimal. If that cannot be provided for him, then that provides for him, an obstacle to overcome…
in most situations – his daughter and her actions, are not obstacles to overcome.
