Elicitation and requirements analysis are some business analysis skills that are extremely helpful in an agile setting especially for team members responsible for product ownership. Equally helpful, if not more so, are the skills that teams use to interact with stakeholders, make decisions, and react to actual situations as they arise. The best way to understand the relevance of these skills is to share stories of successful, and perhaps not so successful interactions on real projects and discuss what the team learned. Join Kent as he shares stories from his experiences as Submission System Product Owner and relates the things he learned to useful skills for all business analysts. You’ll get a chance to tell Kent where he went wrong and also consider how to apply the lessons learned in your own setting. Along the way you’ll hear about some techniques for addressing common project situations that work well as long as you get the nuances right.

Peak Support's Emerging Leaders Program is an 8-session mini-MBA for new team leads or aspiring leaders. You can find the full curriculum at https://www.peaksupport.io/e-books/.
Almost everyone says that they REALLY REALLY want to receive feedback…so why does it feel like we hardly ever get meaningful, constructive feedback at the point in time when it would actually make a difference? Why do we come up with a list of reasons why we should just let something go, so that we can avoid having to deliver feedback ourselves? For many of us, the giving of feedback can feel like an awkward and uncomfortable task. And it’s because we avoid it whenever possible that we don’t improve these skills and we miss out on opportunities to help ourselves, our teammates, and our Agile teams grow.
In this interactive workshop, we hope to reduce anxiety around delivering feedback. First, briefly review some feedback anti-patterns, then introduce several different frameworks and approaches that you can use to prepare and organize your feedback. Then, since the best way to improve our skills is through deliberate practice, we’ll breakout into pairs to practice together through a series exercises in a fun and safe setting. We’ll swap roles as we go, so that everyone has equal opportunity to practice giving and receiving feedback.
If you are looking to improve your personal feedback skills, searching for ways to help your team become more open and willing to share feedback with each other, or interested in how simple practice and exercises can improve learning and build up skills, then this session is for you!
Enabling Conversations for Quality with the OBREAU TripodDon Dunoon
This slideshow set the scene for Don Dunoon’s and Richard Van Doel’s workshop at the 2018 World Conference on Quality and Improvement in Seattle on May 1, "Enabling conversations for quality with the OBREAU Tripod." The OBREAU Tripod is a set of practices and structure for supporting conversations that matter on pretty much any subject that’s not primarily technical. ‘OBREAU’ represents the first two letters of each of the three pivotal words: OBservation (noticing first, rather than reacting); REasonableness (allowing others are reasonable – at least, it seems reasonable to them – rather than judging), and AUthenticity (speaking from the heart, rather than ‘dancing around’).
While the workshop was primarily experiential, the slideshow outlines some of the core concepts.
Feedback from the workshop was highly positive with participants saying things like:
• “I can take this back and use what I learned right away. Great tool!”
• “I like the simple (not easy) aspect of the framework. I will continue to practice and share with my team.”
• “Excellent exercise for thinking about where others are coming from, where am I coming from in considering how to respond.”
• “I love the method.”

DISSERTATION on NEW DRUG DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF DRUG DISCOVERYNEHA GUPTA
The process of drug discovery and development is a complex and multi-step endeavor aimed at bringing new pharmaceutical drugs to market. It begins with identifying and validating a biological target, such as a protein, gene, or RNA, that is associated with a disease. This step involves understanding the target's role in the disease and confirming that modulating it can have therapeutic effects. The next stage, hit identification, employs high-throughput screening (HTS) and other methods to find compounds that interact with the target. Computational techniques may also be used to identify potential hits from large compound libraries.
Following hit identification, the hits are optimized to improve their efficacy, selectivity, and pharmacokinetic properties, resulting in lead compounds. These leads undergo further refinement to enhance their potency, reduce toxicity, and improve drug-like characteristics, creating drug candidates suitable for preclinical testing. In the preclinical development phase, drug candidates are tested in vitro (in cell cultures) and in vivo (in animal models) to evaluate their safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. Toxicology studies are conducted to assess potential risks.
Before clinical trials can begin, an Investigational New Drug (IND) application must be submitted to regulatory authorities. This application includes data from preclinical studies and plans for clinical trials. Clinical development involves human trials in three phases: Phase I tests the drug's safety and dosage in a small group of healthy volunteers, Phase II assesses the drug's efficacy and side effects in a larger group of patients with the target disease, and Phase III confirms the drug's efficacy and monitors adverse reactions in a large population, often compared to existing treatments.
After successful clinical trials, a New Drug Application (NDA) is submitted to regulatory authorities for approval, including all data from preclinical and clinical studies, as well as proposed labeling and manufacturing information. Regulatory authorities then review the NDA to ensure the drug is safe, effective, and of high quality, potentially requiring additional studies. Finally, after a drug is approved and marketed, it undergoes post-marketing surveillance, which includes continuous monitoring for long-term safety and effectiveness, pharmacovigilance, and reporting of any adverse effects.
ABDOMINAL TRAUMA in pediatrics part one.drhasanrajab
Abdominal trauma in pediatrics refers to injuries or damage to the abdominal organs in children. It can occur due to various causes such as falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports-related injuries, and physical abuse. Children are more vulnerable to abdominal trauma due to their unique anatomical and physiological characteristics. Signs and symptoms include abdominal pain, tenderness, distension, vomiting, and signs of shock. Diagnosis involves physical examination, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. Management depends on the severity and may involve conservative treatment or surgical intervention. Prevention is crucial in reducing the incidence of abdominal trauma in children.

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
Antimicrobial stewardship to prevent antimicrobial resistanceGovindRankawat1
India is among the nations with the highest burden of bacterial infections.
India is one of the largest consumers of antibiotics worldwide.
India carries one of the largest burdens of drug‑resistant pathogens worldwide.
Highest burden of multidrug‑resistant tuberculosis,
Alarmingly high resistance among Gram‑negative and Gram‑positive bacteria even to newer antimicrobials such as carbapenems.
NDM‑1 ( New Delhi Metallo Beta lactamase 1, an enzyme which inactivates majority of Beta lactam antibiotics including carbapenems) was reported in 2008
Muktapishti is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation made from Shoditha Mukta (Purified Pearl), is believed to help regulate thyroid function and reduce symptoms of hyperthyroidism due to its cooling and balancing properties. Clinical evidence on its efficacy remains limited, necessitating further research to validate its therapeutic benefits.
Role of Mukta Pishti in the Management of Hyperthyroidism
The First Session
1. Mid-Course Corrections – the Couple’s Workstation
This is a brief outline that will be explained further in the training session. This is a
recommended first session, though not a requirement.
The First Session
Make sure your face sheet includes the email address for each partner.
I.Getting Started
What’s a nice couple like you doing in a place like this?
Keep this brief, but make sure each person has an opportunity to share what brought them
into therapy at this time. Sometimes, asking why now as opposed to a month or six
months ago will give you valuable information
The goal is to understand the presenting problems and to let them experience being very
accurately understood. Ideally this will be fairly brief.
So be sure to do a summary mirror, making sure you get their emphasis accurately.
II.“Here’s how I like to get acquainted with a couples…”
III.The Three Statements
(1)What are the emotions you experience over and
over again with your spouse/partner? Both negative
and positive.
(2)What is your commitment to the
marriage/relationship? AND What is your
commitment to working on the relationship?
(3)Share one or two areas of the relationship you
would like to make sure we work on fairly early in
these sessions?
If this is a completely successful therapy experience, how
will the relationship be different when we finish? This
could refer to unmet needs, or things that happen or don’t
happen that are frustrating or painful.
2. IV.The Mirroring Idea
(1)The couple decide who starts
(2)They will alternate going first
(3)Instruction to the Receiver
“The only purpose for living is for you to understand this “man/woman” and be a pure
listening
(4)The MCI Approach to Mirroring
(a)M – Mirror
(b)C – Check Back – “Did I get it?
(c)I – Invite More – “Is There More”
b)5. Feedback About the Mirroring Process
(1)Is it more blessed to give or to receive
(2)What was it like to mirror? To be mirrored?
(3)Can you see the wisdom of this skill?
V.Feedback from the Therapist
(1)Strengths, Difficulties Acknowledged
VI.Home Work Assignments
(a)Give the Workstation Flyer
With brief Explanation
(b)Assign the Brief Imago Workup in
the Manual
(c)Show them the pages for the
Couple’s Dialog
3. VII.After the session – Optional but recommended
A.Send one email to both partners.
Don’t send separate emails because you will probably want to maintain the policy of
openness and “no secrets”.
Welcome them, share something positive about them in the session (level of
commitment, etc).
Send the link to your website and explain why this is important. Repeat the brief
introduction if appropriate. Send the computer version of the Brief Imago Workup if you
think that would make it easier. Particularly if you send the Workup to me for
supervision, you will find the Computer Version much easier to read and send.
