1. THE FINAL GIRL/ THE CHOSEN ONES/ TWISTED GAMES.

20th November 2014, normal day in a teenage girls life,
Layla Jones, 17, wakes up, gets ready for school and heads
off expecting a usual Friday ahead of her however she finds
herself in a sort of twisted situation. On her way home she
feels as if she is being followed and keeps looking behind
her to make sure she is safe however when she is least
expecting it a hand comes over her face and she begins to
scream but is knocked out when hit in the back of the head
with something and only the diegetic sound of this is heard
in the trailer and her screaming stops.
As she opens her eyes she finds herself in a blacked out
room, which is in an abandoned warehouse. She opens her
eyes and a spotlight turns on suddenly on her sitting on a
chair tied up. She looks up terrified and starts to cry and
scream for help. Her bag and coat have been taken away from
her so she has no form of contact and all she has on her is
a vest top and jeans and a checkered shirt on top of the
vest top. She wakes up with bruises and a bloody face.
A male distorted voice from a speaker says ‘Layla, you have
been chosen’. She suddenly stops screaming and then shouts
‘for what?’ she is told to follow and lights turn on
creating a path for her to follow.
Layla follows into the next room where another four
teenagers are entering from different directions, they are
found in a long narrow room, sort of like a path and the
voice is heard again. There is another girl and three boys
who join Layla in the second blacked out room.
The voice is heard again ‘Kids, get ready for some games,
some twisted games, if you want to get out of here, please
make sure you participate’
The confused and fearful teenagers are not ready for what
is coming but they have to find a way to work together and
help each other to be able to survive, they are all from
different places and have all never met each other but they
have to work together if they want to survive. Each
teenager has been chosen for something bad they have done
in the past year and each teenager has a different reason.

2. We see these reasons on each stage of the games, in each
task it is said what each persons wrong doing is.
The groups of five teenagers are taken on a journey of fear
and emotional/mentally disturbing games. On the way to
escape, some are killed and some come to the end however
none of this is seen in the trailer. Along the way, another
character joins them who was in the games a few years ago,
and also helps them complete the games and escape. With
this the teenagers find out that these disturbed games are
held every year.
Some of the games include injuring themselves purposely for
example cutting themselves and also electrocuting
themselves. Other tasks are being chased by typical masked
killers. Another task is being in a maze and having a set
amount of time to complete the maze and find a way out
however in this time they are chased and get lost, if they
do not get out of the maze they must be kept in the maze.
Whoever refuses to do the set tasks have a forfeit task, if
they do not want to do the forfeit task they are killed.
Most characters are killed or kept in the games, and only
three people are let out to freedom. Which are Layla,
another boy and the girl who was stuck in the games from a
few years ago (this is not seen in the trailer).
