The University Ombudsman
in times of crisis.
 An increase in the activity
 An increase of students complaints mainly related
with the increase of university fees (14 – 25%)
1. An increase of demanding of the services for assessing and
grading the skills and knowledge acquired in the subjects in
their study plans.
2. More complaints regarding assessment systems and
criteria, since failing a subject entails a significant increase in
the corresponding academic fees.
3. A downturn in the number of credits matriculated per
academic year.
4. Transfer to another university.
5. At the extreme, the abandonment of university studies.
The Impact of the crisis in the
university environment
 Great dissatisfaction and concern.
 The need of the design of strategies to prevent
the withdrawal of the students.
 Enhancement of the Ombudsman figure to
support and counsel students.

  1. de 6 asignaturas de los dos planes de estudios de la titulación de Ingeniero Agrónomo y 5 asignaturas de Doctorado, impartiendo clases de teoría, problemas y prácticas de laboratorio, en las asignaturas y número de horas que voy a especificar a continuación, y siendo responsable de las partes indicadas de cada una de estas asignaturas. Electrotecnia y Electrificación Rural (75 h + 50 IR; 50 + 25 resto especialidades) durante los cursos académicos 95/96, 96/97, 98/99 y 99/00 (último año en el que se impartió la asignatura como consecuencia del cambio de Plan de Estudios), asignatura común de 3º y 4º curso del Plan de Estudios de 1974. Impartí clases de prácticas (3 horas a la semana), y problemas (2 horas a la semana), y ayudé en la corrección de los bastidores, de los montajes de prácticas de laboratorio que realizaban los alumnos (DECIRLO LA 1ª VEZ, EXPLICAR EN QUÉ CONSISTE Y EN LAS OTRAS ASIGNATURAS QUE LO LEAN ELLOS) (7 horas a la semana), dependiendo del curso académico. NO LEER LAS HORAS SEMANALES, SÓLO LA PRIMERA VEZ. A partir del curso 98/99 comenzaron a impartirse las asignaturas del Plan de Estudios de 1996, impartiendo docencia en: Electrotecnia (5,5), BLA, BLA, BLA. ER (3); IEAT (3); IEBT (6); CAI (3); IEIAA (4,5); EA (4,5); EAA (3). Durante el curso 97/98 realicé una estancia de un año en el Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) realizando tareas de investigación, razón por la que en ese curso no impartí docencia. En el curso académico actual 01/02, tengo asignada la docencia de teoría y problemas de la asignatura de Electrotecnia de 2º curso, siendo responsable de grupo, docencia de prácticas de las asignaturas de Electrificación Rural de 3º curso, e IEBT e IEIAA de 4º curso, y docencia de teoría de la asignatura de Energías Alternativas de 5º curso. Me gustaría destacar que para atender las necesidades surgidas a raíz del nuevo Plan de Estudios, hubo que diseñar y habilitar un nuevo laboratorio para la realización de las prácticas de las nuevas asignaturas, tarea de la que fui uno de los profesores encargados y en la que tuve una participación directa.
