15. How much does University cost in
Spain?
Made by: Andrea Torrequebrada,
Guillem Albo,
Samir El Mahdali and Jose Luis Sedano.
16. Average price of the universities in Spain
In Spain, the average price of the
University is:
1.110 Euros per year more or less.
What are we doin’ here?
• Today we’re going to explain how much
University costs in Spain, so we will use
different examples for that. We hope you
enjoy it ;) .
17. University’s differences in Spain
Here we will show you some different places and
their University prices for the 2015-2016 year.
Catalonia: 2.011 Euros per year
Madrid: 1.638 Euros per year
Castilla y León: 1.400 Euros per year
Valencian Comunity: 1.223 Euros per year
Aragón: 1208 Euros per year
Navarra: 1.152 Euros per year
La Rioja: 1.101 Euros per year
Baleares: 1.075 Euros per year
Asturias: 1.028 Euros per year
18. Universities at Catalonia
• In Catalonia we have a lot of universities that have
different prices, it can be a higher price if you’re
studying chemistry because you must buy additional
material that others degrees don’t need.
• For example: In the UAB ( Autonomical Barcelona
University ) we have to pay 25,27 Euros for each
credit, and there’s 240 credits. That would be a total
of 6.064,80 Euros and for 4 years total carrier, 1.516
Euros per year.
19. Curiosities …
• The price of the University depends of the
degree you have chosen, chemistry is the
most expensive one in Catalonia and in most
universities, but other degrees like Law and
Economics are the cheapest. And if you fail a
subject, the price to take it again will be
higher.
21. A scholarship is a sum of money or other
similar aid granted to a student because of
need, merit, etc. to pursue his studies.
Students can get scholarships for many
different studies, and in this presentation we
are going to explain three.
22. If you want to go to university, you can aspire to
receive a scholarship, for this, you need to have some
specific characteristics, and this depends on the
university you want to study at.
If you want to study a vocational subject, like at a
university, you can apply for scholarships, and it’s the
same way as university.
There’s several examples of scholarships you can get at
university and also for vocational subjects:
-An enrolment scholarship
-An urban transport scholarship
-An educational material scholarship
-Shift and residential assistance
23. There are scolarships for studies post-
obligatories like military studies, FP, Artistics
studies.. (including all types of Bachillerato).
There are also different scholarships, for
Students With Special Necessities to
scholarships for studying a language outside of
school.
24. The ERASMUS student will
receive funding from one of
these sources:
1. From the European
Commission
2. The Ministry of Education
3. Zero scholarships.
Mobilisation without financing
According to the country, rent costs more or
less money, for example, there is a case of one
girl who rents in Bulgaria, costing 400 euros,
and the scholarship only gave her 300 euros,
she had to work part-time to get extra money.
