Despite these environmental challenges, the people of Utah are grateful that one of their urgent environmental problems this year, the algal bloom, is now waning.

This is reducing water flows and quality. Trend analysis found increasing specific conductivity and total dissolved solids in lakes and streams in the Cypress Creek watershed, as well as rising phosphorus levels and pH, indicating eutrophication. Lower rainfall and lack of releases from reservoirs are concentrating contaminants and degrading water quality over time. Future study is needed on long term biological and quality impacts.

River provides essential various ecosystem goods and services that are essential for living organisms’ survival. As such, its quality must be maintained to ensure the healthy condition of the environment as well as the safety of the community. The study aimed to assess the biophysical characteristics and the anthropogenic activities in San Roque River, Northern Samar. It employed descriptive research combined with laboratory analysis and SPSS was employed to treat and analyze the data.The study revealed that the physico chemical characteristics of the water in San Roque River in terms of temperature, pH, TSS, TDS, and turbidity were within the DENR standards. However, the water of the river was highly contaminated with total coli forms and fecal coli forms. Likewise, the salinity was beyond from the standard that made the water of the river salty. T test revealed that the characteristics of water during high and low tides showed no significant differences. On the contrary. It has shown significant difference on water parameters in terms of temperature, pH, TSS, TDS, BOD, and DO between high tide and the standards. Likewise, pH, TSS, BOD, and DO have shown significant difference on low tide with the standards. It also revealed that there were anthropogenic activities and practices of the community living along the river that directly affect the water quality and condition of the river. Moreover, this also concludes that there were no significant relationships on the characteristics of the water and the anthropogenic activities. Lastly, the San Roque River was classified as Class D river at the time of the conduct of the study. This study analyzed water quality in and around a stormwater pond on Longwood University's campus. Water samples were collected from 7 sites weekly from February to March and tested for E. coli levels. The results showed that E. coli numbers increased within the pond and downstream sites compared to upstream sites, indicating that the pond is not effectively retaining bacteria. Regular maintenance may be needed to improve the pond's ability to enhance water quality.

Drinking water of good quality is essential for human physiology whose continual existence depends on the availability of water and any sort of contamination in water which is above the standard limits set by international water regulating agencies can lead to water related diseases. So, the present investigation was conducted to determine the physico-chemical and bacteriological contents of four springs i.e.Heshi spring 1, Heshi spring 2, Kitaab Roong, and Kooti spring and its distribution system such as water reservoir inlet, outlet, mid and end point of distribution systems, junction where it merge with glacier water. The temperature was in a range of 13oC - 22oC. The turbidity of water samples fluctuate from 0.02NTU-1.99NTU. The pH value was in a range of 6.2-7.1. Electrical conductivity range of minimum 122µS/cm to a maximum of 600µS/cm. The TDS of all water samples ranging from minimum of 164-513mg/l. The amount of reactive ortho phosphate was in a range of 26mg/l to 59mg/L. The amount of total phosphorous was in a range of minimum 23m/L to maximum of 120mg/L. The total bacterial count was in a range of 11CFU/100ml to 83 CFU/100ml.The findings showed there should be comprehensive standardization of drinking water of Danyore village according to guidelines of WHO water quality standards and make it safe for human consumption.

After rearing this pest, the eggs of Corcyra will carry the potential Trichogramma spp., which is an Hymenopteran Wasp. The modification of an existing product or the formulation of a new product to fill a newly identified market niche or customer need are both examples of product development. This study generally developed and conducted the formulation of aramang baked products enriched with malunggay conducted by the researchers. Specifically, it answered the acceptability level in terms of taste, texture, flavor, odor, and color also the overall acceptability of enriched aramang baked products. The study used the frequency distribution for evaluators to determine the acceptability of enriched aramang baked products enriched with malunggay. As per sensory evaluation conducted by the researchers, it was proven that aramang baked products enriched with malunggay was acceptable in terms of Odor, Taste, Flavor, Color, and Texture. Based on the results of sensory evaluation of enriched aramang baked products proven that three (3) treatments were all highly acceptable in terms of variable Odor, Taste, Flavor, Color and Textures conducted by the researchers.

- 2. A series of natural phenomena battered Utah last summer. Heat waves alone ruined tons of crops, compromised the quality of air, and increased the growth of chenopods and mold in most households. Despite these environmental challenges, the people of Utah are grateful that one of their urgent environmental problems this year, the algal bloom, is now waning. The Spread of Green Algae The green algae, which originated from the Utah Lake, spread rapidly to invade nearby bodies of water. This contaminated water (from cyanobacteria and other toxins) reportedly led to nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, and headaches in residents. City officials even warned patrons from using the water for any purpose, according to a report from the Salt Lake Tribune. They later, however, downgraded the closure into a warning. Afterwards, they advised residents to stay vigilant and report any indications of blue-green algae presence by checking for changes in water color.
- 3. The Effect of Green Algae Although algae is toxic to humans, algal blooms indicate warmer weather and higher nutrient levels in the water area. The publicly announced Utah heat wave last June coincided with the release of these toxins. To determine actual water quality, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) collected samples of Utah’s open water in July. The results came back negative as the report showed low to zero concentration of toxins. Continuing Vigilance Despite the positive results, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) erred on the side of caution. They put up warning signs near the area of contamination given that the problem may reappear at any time. As of October 11, the last few samples taken by the DWQ at Utah Lake indicated negligible cyanobacteria cell concentrations. This may be the last sample collection unless the department receives reports of deteriorating water conditions.
