The constitution was written between May and September 1787 to establish a framework for the United States government and protect civil liberties. It was influenced by several historical documents and compromises between state delegations. I feel the Constitution it isn’t as relevant today as it was when the constitution was first created because, I feel like the people of the U.S. don’t respect the constitution as much as they did when it was first created. The framers wrote it for a reason, to give us freedom. But since we have had it, I feel that we take it for granted.
