4. Deva Rina:- Soul was given by god and debt
towards god is Deva-rina. In order to pay back this
debt, one has to worship god to establish Dharma
in the society, do activities for the welfare of the
society such as helping the poor, studying Vedas
and Upanishads, performing Yagnas and Homas.

5. Pitra Rina:- One owes one’s existence to one’s parents.
It is the debt towards the parents as they have given the
body. Thus this debt can be repaid by reproducing
Santana (progeny), making the children good human
beings and useful member of the society and by
performing pind daan.

6. Rishi Rina/Guru Rina:- One is always indebted
to the rishis and gurus through whom one acquires
knowledge and thus removes darkness of mind
and soul. One repays this debt by giving guru
dakshina and study and perpetuation of
knowledge contained in various shastras.

7. Athithi Rina:- It is the debt towards guest who helps
to build social relation, social commitment towards
members of society and to improve social
communication between villages and ancestors equated
guests towards gods. Atithi rina can be repaid by
showing reverence and serving the guests in the best
possible way.
