PR is more than press releases and media relations. It involves varying conversations and not just doing something for the sake of it. PR is difficult and practitioners should resist urges to just act and instead have fun and be frivolous at times to diversify conversations, as suggested by Ged Carroll, Director of Digital, Social & Interactive at Burson-Marsteller.

MROC's & GenY: get the 'research' party started!Tom De Ruyck
This document discusses how to effectively engage Generation Y in marketing research communities. It emphasizes that Gen Y expects to be treated as partners rather than subjects of research. The key learnings are:
(1) Communities work best with around 150 members to enable social interactions. Brand identification is strongest when values converge between brand and member.
(2) Members must be committed through engagement like meet-and-greets and empowerment to share content. Gamification can boost engagement through badges and leaderboards.
(3) Moderators and companies must be committed for communities to succeed. The experience should inspire action beyond brief debriefs by bringing consumers into the boardroom. The goal is engaging experiences that inspire

This document discusses communication and building trust. It provides advice on being honest, being nice, and taking responsibility. Some key points include:
- Vulnerability-based trust is built when people are honest about weaknesses and don't engage in political behavior.
- Kindergarten students tend to outperform business students and lawyers on collaborative tasks because they participate without politicking and are not afraid to try things.
- People reciprocate kindness and malice, so it's best to "catch more flies with honey" and start conversations on a positive note.
- We tend to attribute others' behaviors to fixed traits but make excuses for our own behaviors, so we should take responsibility for how we communicate

Skills needed to Manage your SubordinateEmanuele Musa
What are the skills needed to manage your subordinates?
COMMUNICATION - Leaders help communicate the firm's vision and mission to employees. This provides direction and helps everybody identify the roles that best fit their skills and experiences. Through clear communication, leaders encourage their subordinates to act for the actualisation of objectives.
ACTIVE LISTENING - Healthy communication between leaders and team members establishes a foundation for trust. When your team members know that they will be heard, they can openly share their ideas and provide honest feedback. This, in turn, drives employee engagement and positive business outcomes, including innovation, productivity and profitability.
TEAMWORK - Teams can achieve higher levels of performance than individuals because of the combined energies and talents of the members. Collaboration can produce motivation and creativity that may not be present in single-contractor projects. Individuals also have a sense of belonging to the group, and the range of views and diversity can energise the process, helping address creative blocks and stalemates. By involving team members in decision-making, and calling upon each member’s area of contribution, teams can produce positive results.
FLEXIBILITY- Flexible leaders are those who can modify their style or approach to leadership in response to uncertain or unpredictable circumstances. In addition, flexible leaders can adapt to changes as they come. They can revise their plans to incorporate new innovations and overcome challenges while still achieving their goals.
SELF CONFIDENCE- To teach leadership without first building confidence is like building a house on a foundation of sand.leadership is about having the confidence to make decisions. If someone is afraid to make and commit to decisions, all of the communication and empowerment in the world won't make a difference.
ENTHUSIASM - Your attitude will determine your direction. Successful people are passionate about their work and the activities they engage in. For successful people, enthusiasm is a key driver of passion and achievement. While Enthusiasm comes from within, whether you’re enthusiastic or not is a choice.
Empowered communication is an important life skill that should be a priority for everyone. It involves exchanging information in a way that resolves differences without harming relationships, with a focus on mutual understanding and beneficial outcomes. Effective communication is critical for personal and professional success, and is a skill that can be developed by showing interest in others, giving appreciation, being an active listener, and speaking confidently.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
