Construction Film Trailer
I created a film trailer by filming footage, exporting it to Final Cut Pro and iMovie on my phone. In Motion, I added typing text over a black background and exported it. In iMovie, I imported my video from YouTube and added voiceovers recorded on a Saw app. In Final Cut Pro, I finalized the trailer by adding effects and manipulating sound levels. Finally, I uploaded the completed trailer to YouTube to share.

- 3. How does the trailer makes you aware of the film’s genre? This is done through the action, which are indicative of a thriller/horror, weapons are also included. How are we given an idea of the films story, the films that may be connected to this one and the films director? Through text on a backdrop in white text (serif font) the trailers informs us it is from the writers of Saw movies as well as using text to further introduce the plot.
Editor's Notes
- The trailer gives us an idea of the films story through dialogue and progressive scenes. References to other films "from the twisted writers of Saw IV.., The mask and example of lights being used to convey dim lighting and darkness and text being used to enforce plot.
