The Pact
Teaser Trailer
Creates a sense of confusion

By having the lines across the screen
during the scene cut, it emphasises
uneasiness for the audience .

This shot showing her facial expressions
lets the audience see the panic as she
turns around. This creates enigmas for
the audience as they will have many
questions regarding what will happen,
and who is that ‘person’ behind her.

By showing a ‘person’ who is in half it
creates a sense of the unknown, also
the darkness surrounding the door way
connotes the danger that will happen in
that particular space.
Seeing the scene from
the ‘monsters’ P.O.V.
Makes the audience
feel as if they’re within
the film.

Inter-title, telling the
audience how the
expected reaction from
the film should be, this
creates enigmas for the
audience as they will
be asking why?

The shadow in the
background and the
dimmed lighting creates a
sense of danger, but the
light connotes that
they’re trying to resolve
the issue.
‘wiji board’
Sense of confusion because it is not usually laid out on
the floor. Also emphasising danger of unknown ‘spirits’
helping the audience understand the genre of the film
This could also answer the audiences enigma questions
of who pushed her previously in the trailer

Sense of the dead/unknown. By the way the girl looks,
pale and slightly dark eyes (make-up) makes her look
as if she is the living dead and even she looks shocked
therefore connoting a lot of danger. This still shot also
creates confusion as it would create enigmas for the
audience questioning if she could be the ‘ghost’.

Religious symbolism – this is juxtaposing ideas as the
wiji board connotes danger but the cross connotes god
and safety.
Inter title to fit the genre,
this way the audience can
understand the genre more.
Emphasising the fact that is
it a ‘horror genre’ film,
bringing in the fan base. Title of the film, this is
                                so the audience know
This connotes the panic as what to look for as then
the girl rushes out of the they can research more
door, the blur emphasises information on the film.
this.

Connoting a sense of the Exact release date, so
unknown, showing the girl interested viewers know
being thrown around, this when they can go and
would also create enigmas see the film.
for the audience as this is
perceived as un-natural.
