One of the scariest things about global warming is its ability to dramatically affect our way of life if
we do not curb our greenhouse emissions. Sea levels can rise drastically, spilling over into the land

Carbon and Carbon dioxide create global warming when we break carbon bonds. Carbon is what
scientist call a social atom; meaning it does not like to be alone. So, when carbon bonds are broken
it looks for a new partner to grab onto. As it turns out the most desirable partner is oxygen, because
it is such a stable, settled atom making it a perfect partner with carbon. However, carbon doesn't like
to just grab one oxygen atom it likes to grab two oxygen atoms, thus making carbon dioxide. The
partnership makes it extremely hard to break this bond. CO2 then floats in the air where it will be
eaten by trees or absorbed by the oceans when it rains. The problem that has occurred is that we are
adding more CO2 into the atmosphere then the trees and oceans can effectively remove from the
atmosphere. The direct result is that there is more CO2 in the atmosphere thus creating what
scientist call a "greenhouse effect." The greenhouse effect occurs when the sun rays bounce off the
surface of the earth and back into the sky. When the sun rays hit the CO2 molecules they don't break
their bond because it's almost impossible to break, they instead heat up, thus warming the air, which
then warms the oceans, melts glaciers, and we can keep going on the domino effect this has.
What can be done to stop global warming is create less CO2. One problem with that statement is
that carbon is the central element of life, since it is pretty much in everything that is alive, stopping
global warming will be a huge challenge. The most obvious way to use less carbon is to start with
using alternative energies like solar, nuclear, and wind are just a few popular examples. A more
challenging way is to invent a way to capture Co2 from smokestack emissions, the sky, or any other
place CO2 is omitted then stick it directly into the ground until a time when scientist can find ways
to break the bond or use the energy cleanly without harming the atmosphere. This type of removal

available then and only then can corporations be forced to act. The auto industry is making steps to

Unfortunately, global warming is endangering those water sources. Glaciers are melting more
quickly, this rapid melting can mean floods in the spring and drought in the late summer because the
water has drained away. Hence, there will be threats to human health; tropical disease such as
malaria might spread to larger regions. Heat waves can cause more death and illness, and Floods and
drought can increase hunger and malnutrition. Due to global warming, crop yield could decline.
Therefore, yield in the tropics might fall because the temperature there is too high for many plants to
tolerate. Everyone can participate in reducing global warming. Alternate energy sources that do not
emit carbon–dioxide and that can convert the sunlight, wind energy into electrical energy. Also, we
should reduce the amount of electricity we used at home by turning off our computers and electricity
while we are away from home. At home we should develop the habits of energy saving, choose low
energy technologies and turn down your thermostats when the house is empty in winter. We can take
our commitment to renewable energy. And the industry would have to reduce the emission of gases.

carbon is a purely political move. Further, carbon should be a useful resource for humans, and an
imbalanced carbon cycle is to blame. In fact, McDonough claims this imbalance is the result of poor
and inadequate urban designing. Are any climate change believers right? Or are Donald Trump and

waste, we can save 2400 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

weather stripping or caulking around doors and windows. By setting your thermostat 2 degrees

there are a variety of environmental problems that affect our entire world; some of them include rain
forest destruction, air pollution, land pollution, acid rain, and over population. However, out of all
these problems, Global warming is the major problem that exists in our environment. According to
Merriam Webster's dictionary, global warming is an increase in the earth's average atmospheric
temperature due to which the climate changes. This is caused by the greenhouse effect, where the
atmosphere builds up by gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, and the heat from the sun stays
in the atmosphere, which rises the temperature on earth. Each year, we see natural disasters that

Global warming is when the average global temperature increases. The global temperature has
increased to the fastest ever recorded rate in history in the past half century. Climate changes like
global warming is the result of human practices like the emission of Greenhouse gases. Global
warming leads to rising temperatures of the ground and oceans causing melting of polar ice caps, a
rise in sea levels as well as unnatural patterns of precipitation such as flash floods, excessive snow
or desertification.
Why does it occur?
The main cause of global warming is due to greenhouse gases as well as other air pollutants that
collect in the atmosphere. Sunlight and solar radiation that should have bounced off the earth's
surface is absorbed by these pollutants. If the pollutants weren't in the atmosphere, radiation would
escape into space. Pollutants are known to last as long as centuries within the atmosphere, they trap
heat and in turn cause the planet to overheat. This is the greenhouse effect; the greenhouse effect is
the cause of global warming.
How do you know Global warming occurs?
There are 10 main indicators of Global Warming, these indicators are; land surface temperature, sea
