Historijat hrvatskog nacionalizma
Najznačajniji faktor oblikovanja današnjeg hrvatskog nacionalizma je uvjerenje da srednjovjekovno hrvatsko kraljevstvo nikada nije bilo potpuno nezavisno.
Drugi faktor oblikovanja hrvatskog nacionalizma je bila identifikacija s drugim južnim Slovenima, što dovodi do hrvatske brojčane inferiornosti u odnosu na dominantne nacije Habsburške monarhije, Mađare i Nijemce.
Ovi faktori su evidentni u Ilirskom pokretu Ljudevita Gaja 1836. do 1848. godine što kasnije otvara mjesto za dva nacionalna programa.
Prvi program: Anton Starčević i njegova Stranka desnice (smatraju da u Hrvatskoj ima samo jedan narod, pa su Srbe i muslimane zvali pravoslavnim i muslimanskim Hrvatima).
Drugi program: Josip Jurje Strossmayer (ima isto mišljenje kao Starčević).
1895. godine se Starčevićev pokret raspada na brojne grupe od kojih su frankisti ostali privrženi Starčevićevom izvornom programu, oni će tridesetih godina 20. st. činiti jezgro ustaškog pokreta Ante Pavelića.
Formiranje Kraljevine Srba, Hrvata i Slovenac predstavlja izazov za frankiste koji su sebe smatrali jedinom “pravom” hrvatskom strankom i braniteljem hrvatskog prava.
Teorija jugoslavenskog trinomijalizma i s njim prateće narodno jedinstvo, tvrdili su da su Srbi, Hrvati i Slovenci “plemena” jedne te iste “nacije”.
Srpsko-hrvatski odnosi se pogoršavaju kada je vođa hrvatskih Srba, Svetozar Pribićević, implementirao kruti centralizam i kao ministar unutrašnjih poslova počeo provoditi kroz razne taktike.
Srbi su počeli gajiti nepovjerenje prema Hrvatima zbog navodnog podrivanja jedinstva nove države, koju su Srbi smatrali kulminacijom devetnaestovijekovne borbe za srpsko ujedinjenje.
Nakon 1918. hrvatski nacionalizam ima dva oblika: Hrvatsku seljačku stranku sa Stjepanom Radićem i Hrvatsku političku desnicu.
Hrvatska politička desnica smatrala je da je uključena u borbu protiv velikosrpske politike „koja nepokolebljivom dosljednošću radi na uništenju Hrvatstva.“, vjerovala je da je namjera Beograda „da osvoji i apsorbuje druge južnoslovenske narode i da uspostavi svoje veličina i moć na ruševinama susjednih zemalja.”.
Radićevo ubistvo 1928. otvara vrata “ustašizmu” koji se borio protiv sprstva, komunizma i vjerovali su da je Hrvatska neovisnost cilj i da se treba postići po svaku cijenu.
U političkim poslovima međuratne Jugoslavije i Evrope, oholost se pretvorila u zlobu jer je politička desnica a kasnije i ustaše iskrivila Starčevićevu ideologiju.
Tokom Drugog svjetskog rata, Srbi velike Hrvatske su viđeni kao “tuđi”, što je manifestiralno ubilačkim postupcima ustaškog režima.

U aprilu 1941. godine Hrvati su konačno postigli državnost u obliku Nezavisne Države Hrvatske, u stvarnosti italijansko-njemački kondominijum i brutalno ad hoc stvaranje.

Marksizam je naziv političke, društvene i ekonomske teorije osnovane sredinom 19. stoljeća od strane Karla Marksa i njegovog prijatelja i suradnika Fridriha Englesa.
Marksizam je i danas jedna od dominirajućih teorija širom svijeta.
Marksizam je specifična teorija jer zagovara napetost, sukobe i promjene. Ovo se najbolje razumije u klasnim borbama i da materijalne snage proizvodnje u društvu čine dominantan utjecaj na kulturnu/ideološku nadgradnju svakog društva.
Društvene klase tj. društvene grupe se dijele na vladajuću klasu/feudalce i podložnu klasu. Njihov položaj u društvu se razlikuje po njihovom odnosu prema sredstvima za proizvodnju. Vladajuća klasa raspolaže sredstvima za proizvodnju dok podložna klasa obavlja poslovni rad na tim istim sredstvima za proizvodnju. Većina profita koji nastaje prodajom proizvedenih sredstava ide vladajućoj klasi, što joj osigurava opstanak na većoj poziciji u društvu.
Kada podložna klasa postane svjesna svog položaja, nastaju sukobi i napetosti što dovodi do prmjene društvenih odnosa.

BAROK U NJEMAČKOJ
Barokna arhitektura je počela da se razvija u Njemačkoj u 17. i 18. vijeku. Njemački barok preuzeo je elemente talijanske i francuske barokne arhitekture.
Stigao je na njemačke teritorije nakon dugog vjerskog rata između katoličkih i protestantskih grupa, poznatog kao Tridesetogodišnji rat. Posljedica ovog rata su ograničeni ekonomski resursi.
Bog i kralj, kao apsolutni vladari, bili su tema njemačkog baroka, pa su građevine bile uglavnom crkve, palate i vrtovi.
Za stubove i komade ukrasa često su korišteni mramor i jaspis svijetle i tamne boje.
Mesingani ukrasi su uobičajeni u unutrašnjim prostorima, a dosta fresaka je bilo nacrtano na stropovima i kupolama.
Vanjski zidovi su često bili od kamena, dajući građevini veličanstven izgled.
Korišteni su klasični građevinski elementi kao što su frontoni (zabatni zidovi), lukovi i stupovi, ali su oni transformirani kroz ornamente kako bi se dobili uljepšani i gotovo maštoviti element, što je više dekorativno nego konstruktivno.
Što se tiče planskog rasporeda crkava i katedrala, vidi se bitna promjena u odnosu na renesansu uvođenjem novih geometrijskih oblika, a to su elipsa i oval. Ova nova geometrija dovela je do valovitosti, konkavnih i konveksnih zidova i vrlo dinamičnih prostora.
Fasade crkava bile su volumetrijske, sa obiljem elemenata koji su ispupčeni i udubljeni, koji su također nastojali stvoriti taj osjećaj kretanja.
Generalni raspored građevine se sastojao od glavnog krila u sredini i simetričnih krila, po jedno sa svake strane. Vertikalna kompozicija objekta i dalje je klasična, sa jasno izraženom osnovom. Unutrašnja dekoracija bila je veoma bogata, kombinirajući arhitekturu sa slikarstvom i skulpturom kako bi se stvorile prelijepe unutrašnje dvorane.
Razrađen je i pejzažni dizajn palata, sa velikim vrtovima koji okružuju palatu ili su zatvoreni unutra. Ove vanjske površine stvorene su za rekreaciju i zabavu.
