4. Why would someone commit suicide?
• There are many reasons why a
person would consider committing
suicide. Some include:
– Bullying
(cyber, emotional, physical, etc.)
– Mental disorders
(depression, anxiety, etc.)
– Abuse
(domestic, physical, emotional, sexu
al, etc.)
– Genetics passing down mental
disorders that cause things like
depression, anxiety, bipolar
disorder, etc.
– Dealing with internal problems like
sexual orientation (especially in an
unsupportive environment)
– A previous unsuccessful attempt

5. Ways you can help prevent suicide
• Don’t joke about it! Suicide is
not a joke, and is not funny. It
has taken too many lives.
• Reach out to a friend if you
think he/she is considering it.
• Stop bullying. No one thinks
you’re cool, and words can
kill.
• Start accepting people for who
they are and don’t judge them
for it. Everyone is equal, you
know.
• Know the signs. Knowing the
signs of someone who might
be considering suicide can
save a life that is worth
keeping.
• Just be kind to everyone;
there’s no reason to be mean.
