This document discusses different types of people and their level of devotion to Krishna based on chapters 7 and 16-19 of the Bhagavad Gita. It describes four types of devotees - the distressed, those seeking knowledge, those seeking material gains, and those situated in knowledge. It says Krishna considers those devoted with knowledge and who have made him their sole goal as the highest devotees, as they have merged their intellect with him and see him as their very self. Such souls who know Krishna as the supreme goal after many births of spiritual practice are said to be very rare.
