This document provides an introduction to e-journals, including what they are, their advantages and disadvantages, why they should be used, and how to access them. The key points are:

- Advantages include wider dissemination, access from anywhere, and the ability to access archives. Disadvantages include technical barriers and high acquisition costs.
- E-journals can be accessed through individual journal subscriptions, journal databases that aggregate titles, pay-per-view options on publisher sites, or open access models without fees like institutional repositories.

The progression in the past decade of blogs from personal web journals to a platform for established professionals, corporations and writers has also created opportunities for education. This session looks at the use of blogs with graduate students at NJIT over the past two years as a method for regular student reflection on learning. Using either free services or commercial products, blogs offer the easiest method for students to publish online to a large audience without sophisticated web design skills. This allows them to focus on specific topics and on their knowledge construction. Built-in feedback tools allow teacher-to-student and peer-to-peer commentary. Though blogs can serve as e-portfolios, this project focused on writing concepts, publishing practices, intellectual property and digital design as a learning portfolio. This project will be incorporated into program competencies for students as reflective practitioners in addition to an established e-portfolio program.
How to use a blog for publishing scientific research: A training guide part 1AfricanCommonsProject
The African Commons Project ran a two-day training workshop with the Academy of Science of South Africa in August 2009. We set up a basic Wordpress blog for them, and then led through intensive training on how to use the platform and the basics of blogging: from content to marketing.
This document provides an introduction and overview of blogs, wikis, and podcasts. It discusses what each technology is, how to set them up, examples of their use, and things to consider regarding legal and privacy implications. Blogs allow individuals to publish content over time. Wikis allow collaborative editing of content in simple markup language. Podcasts involve distributing audio and video files through subscription feeds for playback on mobile devices.
The document describes a portfolio website created by designer Yulia Besplemennova. The website goes beyond a typical design portfolio by unfolding a narrative around the question "Why be designing?". Works are presented as results of the designer's thinking process. The minimalist graphic design does not interfere with presenting works done for different clients. The portfolio aims to build the designer's reputation in the industry through an artist's showcase-style presentation of works. Navigation utilizes horizontal scrolling to seamlessly view high resolution images and create a natural browsing experience.
The document summarizes the use of various Web 2.0 technologies for online classroom learning, including wikis, blogs, social networks, podcasting, video sharing, and more. Specific classroom assignments using these tools are described, such as having students collaboratively write a job posting using a wiki or creating individual social networking sites. Both benefits and drawbacks of each tool are outlined from a classroom perspective.
Web 2.0 for_science_educators spr 2012Cathy Outten
Web 2.0 allows users to create and share dynamic content, moving from a "read only" web to an interactive "read and write" experience. It includes social media sites, blogs, wikis, video and photo sharing. Using these tools in education provides opportunities for students to collaborate, share information, and engage in constructivist learning. Educators should consider their objectives and appropriate tools to achieve them while balancing privacy and security issues. Examples of free Web 2.0 tools discussed are blogs, wikis, YouTube, social bookmarking, and social networking.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
