  • #4 Neuer Öko-Kodex soll Einzelhändler nachhaltiger machen Ökologische Nachhaltigkeit soll bei C&A, Rewe, Metro, Kaufland und 13 weiteren großen europäischen Einzelhändlern in Zukunft eine prominentere Rolle spielen. Dazu haben sich die Konzernvorstände und neun europäische Einzelhandelsverbände Ende Juni in einem gemeinsamen Verhaltenskodex verpflichtet. In dem Papier versprechen sie mehr Nachhaltigkeit beim Ressourceneinsatz, beim Transport ihrer Waren und deren Entsorgung. Auch wollen sie Nachhaltigkeitsbewusstsein unter ihren Kunden fördern, etwa durch Werbung für umweltfreundlichere Produkte. Kritische Umwelt- und Sozialexperten sehen in dem Kodex keinen großen Wurf. EU-Umweltkommissar Janez Potočnik spricht dagegen von einem „Meilenstein“. Kodex für eine Umweltethik der Ingenieure- „Memorandum des Weltverbands der Ingenierverbände 1985
