The Audience Of Braid

   By Emily and Sarah
The Stereotypical Audience of
               Braid
• The stereotypical person who would play
Braid is a nerdy, male gamer who spends
most of his time on computers.
• It is a puzzle game so the gamer would be
expected to be intelligent, rather than
someone who simply enjoys RPG shoot
‘em up games such as Call of Duty
Braid Trailer
• From the trailer we can see that the
graphics are not very advanced due to it
  being low-budget.
• The game was not widely advertised and
very few people saw the trailer, unlike
games for the Wii which are widely
  advertised.
Audience
• How is the audience represented?
• The audience is represented as insular,
  anti-social yet highly intelligent. They
would have to have the right contacts to
find the game because it was not widely
  advertised. The audience is not
represented in a positive light by the
  press.
Audience Profile
• Male in their 20s, intelligent and possibly ‘nerdy’
  who enjoys indie games.
• Probably American, because it is an American
game that received very little publicity, or if not
they would probably be part of the English-
  Speaking world.
• The gamer probably has very little social life
outside the internet and spends most of their
time on the game, rather than being someone
  who plays the game occasionally.
