The 1st Question
Is there Life After Death?
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Why is this the 1st Question?
Because it determines…
• Focus of Life
• Conduct with others
• Attitude towards Life
• Understanding differences and injustice
• Right approach to Action
• Law of Karma
• Self-centredness vs Service to others
• Doorway to understanding the larger realities
• Better use of available time and skills
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Consequence of Ignorance
• Core belief – There is no Life After Death. This is the 1st & last chance that you
will ever get to live and experience life.
• Path 1 [Service to Others]: Use this rare opportunity to leave a legacy. Make a
meaningful & impactful contribution to the world so that your name and
legacy will outlive you even when you are gone.
• Path 2 [Service to Self]: Live life to the fullest. Experience all the pleasures life
has to offer. Indulge in endless sense gratifications. You and your children are
the centers of the universe – everything else is secondary/ less important. It
is okay to be selfish. The end justifies the means. Survival at any cost is all
that matters. Pleasure to self at the cost of pain to others is acceptable. Key
focus – survival, sense gratification, exploitation of resources, continuous ‘me
vs others’ evaluation & tradeoffs, reduced respect for social order, norms &
customs. ‘Revenge from society’ mindset for inequality and perceived
injustice. Spending time on long term projects and growth of spirit seems a
futile exercise and wastage of the rare and precious balance time left in life.

• The existence of God can most definitely be proven. It can be proven to reason by the use of
reason itself without any revealed religion used at all.
• To wit: all things in motion come into motion from things already in motion. (e.g., you came into
being because your parents were already in being).
• But we know that this sequence cannot go back in time infinitely, for then it would never have
had a beginning. And if it had no beginning, we could not be here now. Where does this leave us?
• Reason tells us that this sequence, therefore, MUST have had a beginning, but that it could not
have begun itself, just as we are not the cause of our own lives. A line of dominoes may string
along for a hundred million miles, but something that is NOT a domino had to have set up that
string.
• To argue from this analogy, that force or being that set up OUR sequence could not itself be OF
that sequence or a member of it. That CAUSE must not itself be part of the cause and effect that
we are produced by. THIS cause—that is, the one that set up the cause and effect sequence that
brought us about—is both outside and superior to that cause and effect sequence.
• And it is this CAUSE that we call God. It is He that is un-caused. And it is for that reason that in
Thomistic and Aristotelian philosophy, we refer to God as the Unmoved Mover.

Counter Argument 1
- There is no physical evidence of soul
• Can science record a non-physical entity?
• What are the high & low limits on the electromagnetic spectrum that the
most scientifically advanced instrument can perceive & record?
• What is the next scientifically viable option to gather information on the
non-physical entities?
• Can we ascertain through scientific process & tools that the information
received from ‘subjective’ sources is correct and scientifically acceptable as
evidence?
• Dreams, Love, Beauty, Respect, Humility, Visual Imaginations, Thoughts –
They all are known to exist, but is there a scientific instrument that can
objectively record them?
• Does mapping the blood flow to the brain & patterns of blood flow
decisively ascertain what exactly is being produced in the Mind?
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Counter Argument 2
- All the evidences are anecdotes & subjective experience,
this cannot be accepted as hard scientific evidence
• Continuation of discovery process to counter Argument 1
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Counter Argument 3
- When there is damage to the brain, personality changes, how
is it possible if the soul is same?
• Comparison 1: Telephone as receiving instrument for voice
• If the telephone gets damaged, will there be a disturbance in the voice received? – does
it mean that the input voice has changed?
• If the reception signal is disturbed, does not the tone of voice change? – does it mean
that the input voice has changed?
• Comparison 2: Television for audio-visual transfer, VR avatar control through
tools, etc
• Apart from transferring signals from the Mind & Soul, the Brain also has
inherent functions to maintain & regulate the Body.
• Similar to the Brain, the Mind also may have a basic function linked with
survival as well as a higher function of being a machine language interface for
the Soul [in video games, there is a Graphic User Interface for the user, inputs
from which are collected and converted through machine language to
commands for the hardware. Here Brain & Body is the hardware, Mind is the
GUI, & Soul is the User.]
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Counter Argument 4
- Why do different NDE accounts have different versions of the
place & entities they meet after death?
• As discovered and conveyed by Mr. Frederick Myers, based on
existing beliefs and imaginations, the experience of the afterlife in the
‘plane of illusion’ can be different for different people. The physical
manifestations act merely as props for the spirit to experience the
mental world. With the progression of the spirit, physical props are
gradually dropped and only mental-psychological
expressions/impressions remain.
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Counter Argument 5
- Experiences of NDEs are a result of oxygen deprivation.
- Even when patient flatlines there might be brain activity which
the machines are not able to capture.
- Bright light syndrome is because of the light above the OT table
• As per medical experts, Anoxia (Oxygen deprivation) will lead to thought
patterns of panic & fear – NDE experiences are totally opposite
• Small brain activity is not enough to run the audio-visual functions of the
brain. Patients could describe what was happening or said on the other side of
the curtains or in another room altogether, which is not possible to do even for
a fully conscious brain.
• Bright light syndrome has also been observed at locations other than the OT
table. For ex. at accident sites and in houses. Also, the orientation of the bright
light when compared with the position of OT light wrt patient’s head does not
match. Additionally, there is also a tunnel effect associated with bright light
and a feeling of movement through the tunnel.
Sensitivity: Unclassified
Sequence of Proof
• There are non-physical entities that exist without matter body
• Range of energy fields that can be recorded on scientific instruments
• What is the Electromagnetic field range in which astral bodies can be
measured
• Can the presence (and activities) of the Mind be measured (apart from
measuring blood flow patterns to the brain)?

Here Brain & Body is the hardware, Mind is the GUI, & Soul is the User.]
  • 18. Sensitivity: Unclassified Counter Argument 4 - Why do different NDE accounts have different versions of the place & entities they meet after death? • https://near-death.com/why-ndes-are-different/ • As discovered and conveyed by Mr. Frederick Myers, based on existing beliefs and imaginations, the experience of the afterlife in the ‘plane of illusion’ can be different for different people. The physical manifestations act merely as props for the spirit to experience the mental world. With the progression of the spirit, physical props are gradually dropped and only mental-psychological expressions/impressions remain.
  • 19. Sensitivity: Unclassified Counter Argument 5 - Experiences of NDEs are a result of oxygen deprivation. - Even when patient flatlines there might be brain activity which the machines are not able to capture. - Bright light syndrome is because of the light above the OT table • As per medical experts, Anoxia (Oxygen deprivation) will lead to thought patterns of panic & fear – NDE experiences are totally opposite • Small brain activity is not enough to run the audio-visual functions of the brain. Patients could describe what was happening or said on the other side of the curtains or in another room altogether, which is not possible to do even for a fully conscious brain. • Bright light syndrome has also been observed at locations other than the OT table. For ex. at accident sites and in houses. Also, the orientation of the bright light when compared with the position of OT light wrt patient’s head does not match. Additionally, there is also a tunnel effect associated with bright light and a feeling of movement through the tunnel.
