Back
We catch up with your favourite X-Factor boys!
Find out gossip about Simon Cowell, what they
look for in a girl and the ‘Dalfie’ relationship!
The other day my
boss sent me an email
saying that the X-Factor
boy band
‘Radio Kicks’ are
coming to town and I
knew I had to
interview them! Radio
Kicks were formed on
last year’s X-Factor
and after coming 2nd
t hey’re back with
their debut album
‘Anot her Night’.
There’s Alfie, Dan,
Elijah, Chris and Harry.
Here is what they said!
Hello boys! How are
you all?
Alfie: Heeeeey…
Chris: We’re really
good thanks!
So… Your debut
album is being
released in two
weeks’ time. That’s
pretty exciting.
Dan: Definit ely…
We’ve all worked
super hard on it and
we’re very proud.
Elijah: I think releasing
your first album is
definitely the most
nerve-wracking
t hough… Hopefully
people like what they
hear.
Harry: So much t ime
and effort has gone
int o it t hat it’ll be
disappoint ing if it isn’t
successful.
What sort of sound
does your album
have?
Elijah: I t ’s pop but with
a hint of rock.
Alfie: I t ’s really cool
because you can
hear the bass and
t here’s some really
good solos that
people can jam to!
That sounds really
cool! Has Simon had
a lot of input?
Chris: Not really, he
wanted to give us
free reign so that the
album really reflected
us as art ist s.
Harry: We don’t see
him much either
because he’s in the
States a lot .
Dan: But if we need
some advice he will
always give it to us.
Do you miss being on
X-Factor?
Alfie: Of course! I t was
such a good
experience.
Dan: We really grew
as a band.
Elijah: Everyone was
so nice too.
Now let’s get down to
the juicy stuff… Any
romances going on?
Harry: I knew it
wouldn’t be long
before you brought
that up! But no.
Elijah: Not for me, I’m
t rying to focus on our
music.
Chris: I ’m st ill with my
long-term girlfriend of
2 years, Zoe. I t ’s going
well.
Alfie and Dan, there
was an article in The
Sun last week about
you two being
together. Is it true?
Alfie: Yuup, it sure is.
Dan: I t was really hard
to come out , we were
really worried about
what the fans were
going to think.
You got a good
reaction though
didn’t you?
Alfie: We’re so lucky
to have
understanding fans. It
hasn’t affect ed
anyt hing and we’re
both really happy.
What have your
friends and family
thought about it?
Dan: They’ve also
been really
support ive.
Alfie: We wouldn’t
have been able to do
it without them.
One question we
always get asked is,
what do you look for
in a girl?
Harry: I don’t really
have a type, if I like
someone I like them.
Chris: I have a soft
spot for blue eyes.
Elijah: I f they love
music t hen I ’m game.
Would you ever date
a fan?
Alfie: Errr…
Elijah: I guess.
Dan: I would never
say no, but the
majority of our fans
are quite a bit
younger.
Harry: I t would just be
a bit awkward
Alfie: Definitely!
I think that’s all. It was
really cool meeting
you!
Chris: You too!
Alfie: We should do it
again, it was fun.
