The Texas STaR Chart is:  a Tool for Planning and Self-Assessing  S chool  T echnology  a nd  R eadiness (Star) It is aligned with the Texas Long-Range Plan (TLRP) for Technology, 2006-2020 Access the site:  www.tea.state.tx.us/starchart // TLRP has four major component Teaching and Learning (TL) Educator preparation and development (EP) Leadership and Administrative and Instructional  support (L) Infrastructure for technology (INF)
Purpose of Star Chart The star chart is designed to: Help campuses determine their progress towards meeting district goals Help campuses determine their progress toward s meeting TLRP Give reliable data to compare state, district, campus and national use of technology and its availability in teaching.
