Reconstructive Hand Surgery in Tetraplegia
Dr. Ivan Justan was awarded the first FESSH fellowship in reconstructive tetraplegia
hand surgery. Dr. Justan who is a citizen of the Czech Republic became a specialist in
General Surgery 2003 and in Plastic and Hand Surgery 2007. In 2008, he completed his
Ph.D. thesis. This 3-months fellowship took place at the Department of Hand Surgery,
Institute of Clinical Sciences, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Göteborg, Sweden during
the period March 1st through May 31st, 2009.
