I am GMC registered (7051386) ATLS certified, highly motivated, dedicated & sincere
professional with 17 years of experience in orthopedics. I have done my post graduation
in orthopedic surgery (MS & DNB) from India and have finished my MRCS and FRCS
from Edinburgh.
I am presently working as a Acting Consultant Orthopedic surgeon in Khoula Hospital a
level 1 trauma centre in a joint replacement unit. I am extremely professional, articulate
in presentation and get along well with all grades of staff. I have published articles
(including in international journal) presented lectures with a keen interest in academic
and teaching activities; I am an active reviewer for Journal of Arthroplasty and Joint
Surgery.
I have done a clinical attachment in NHS hospital Yorkshire (UK) And have done my
AO fellowship from Dusseldorf Germany in trauma surgery. I have also done a
fellowship in joint replacement surgery from Harrogate (UK) and a fellowship at
Endoclinic Germany in revision hip and knee arthroplasty. I have completed SICOT
fellowship in pelvis and acetabular surgery from Aanchen medical center ( Germany)

CAREER HISTORY
• Acting Consultant (Ortho) Khoula hospital, Muscat July 2015 till date
Presently I am working as a Acting Consultant in orthopaedics department of Khoula
Hospital. I perform independent surgeries of patients admitted under my list which
include Primary and complex primary lower limb joint replacement and revision joint
replacement surgeries. I perform arthroscopy of the knee including meniscal repair and
ACL reconstruction. I perform complex Pelvi- acetabular surgeries as well as complex
trauma including revision. I have various administrative and managerial role in my
department including Chairman of Orthopaedic Clinic committee , Member of morbidity
and mortality committee , quality control committee. I am a full time trainer of OMSB
residents and supervise them in clinical and surgical training as well as a member in
OMSB Exam subcommittee. I have also been awarded Acdemic title as senior clinical
lecturer in recognition of academic contribution to Sultan Qaboos University and college
of medicine and health Sciences ‘academic activities .
• Senior Specialist (Ortho) Khoula hospital, Muscat May 2011 till July 2015
Previously I worked as a senior specialist in orthopedics department of Khoula hospital.
I performed independent primary and complex primary lower limb joint replacement
surgery, all trauma including posterior acetabular fixation. I did knee arthroscopy . I

2. assisted in planning and execution of revision Hip and knee replacement surgery
including complex revisions. I attended regional and international conferences on trauma
and joint replacement. I was a full time trainer for OMSB ( Post graduate ) residents and
supervised them in trauma and elective surgery and was involved in there training
programme. I have also worked as a facilitator for Early Management of Polytrauma
Program held at Khoula Hospital in year 2010 .

I worked as a registrar (Registrar) in orthopedics, performing independent surgeries and
running clinics, in charge of the emergency trauma team and performing 1 in 6 duties
every month. I am working with a consultant with special interest in joint replacement
and tumor surgeries. I am actively involved in teaching program for residents preparing
for the MRCS examination. I have been presenting in both regional and international
conferences and have done my ATLS course in trauma management.

Full time resident in orthopedic department in 400 beds tertiary level trauma centre
working under consultants with special interest in joint replacement, acetabular fractures
and hand surgery. Perform 6-7 round the clock duties every month in Emergency
services. Involved actively in various types of orthopedic operations including trauma,
joint replacement, arthroscopy, acetabular and hand fractures. Take part in journal club,
seminars and departmental scientific activities. Passed intercollegiate MRCS exam.
