 25問
 1つの質問または文章とそれに対する3つの答えが
それぞれ1度だけ放送される。印刷はされていな
い。設問に対して最もふさわしい答えを選び解答
用紙にマークする。

3. Directions
 You will hear a question or statement and three
responses spoken in English. They will not be
printed in your test book and will be spoken only
one time. Select the best response to the
question or statement and mark the letter (A), (B),
or (C) on your answer sheet.

4. Strategy – Questions
解答のための方策 質問
 Listen carefully to the first 1 or 2 words. They will
usually be questions words such as:
 質問の最初の１、２語を注意して聞くこと。以下の
ような疑問詞であることが多い。
 The best response will answer the question.
 その疑問詞に一番的確に応答している選択肢が質問
に答えているもの(つまり正答)である。

 If you hear: How long will you stay in Akita?
 What is the question word(s)?
 How long will you stay in Akita?という質問を聞い
た場合を想定しよう。
 疑問詞はその中のどれだろうか。

 If the responses are
A. For three days
B. Next week
C. On Thursday
 The best response is A.

7.  この例では how longという疑問詞に気づく必要があ
る。

が

の３つだった場合、
一番的確なのはAである。

 If you hear: Did you finish the report?
 What is the question word(s)?
 Did you finish the report?という質問を聞いた場合
を想定しよう。
 疑問詞はその中のどれだろうか。

yes/no question.
 Did you finish the report?
 If the responses are
A. It’s about 9 pages.
B. No, it will be done by tomorrow.
C. On Thursday
 The best response is B.

10.  この例ではこれがyesかnoで答えられる質問であ
ることに気づく必要がある。

の３つだった場合、
一番的確なのはBである。

11. Strategy – Tag questions
 Tag questions ask for agreement or disagreement
with the statement.
It’s going to snow tomorrow, isn’t it?
Yes, it will be
clear.
Incorrect: “Yes” agrees with the
statement, but the rest of the response
doesn’t.
No, it will snow. Incorrect: “No” disagrees with the
statement, but the rest of the response
doesn’t.
No, it will be
clear.
Correct: “No” disagrees with the
statement and the rest of the response
does, too.

12. 解答のための方策 付加疑問文
 付加疑問文は述べられたことに同意するか否かを問
う。
It’s going to snow tomorrow, isn’t it?
Yes, it will be
clear.
不正解 yesは述べられたこと(明日雪が降
る)に同意することを示しているが、yesの
あとの部分は、明日は晴れるとなっており、
述べられたこと(雪が降る)と一致しない。
No, it will snow. 不正解 noは述べられたことに同意しない
ことを示しているが、noのあとの部分は雪
が降る(つまり同意)となっており、矛盾して
いる。
No, it will be
clear.
正 解 noは述べられたことに同意しない
ことを示している。noのあとの部分(明日は
晴れる)も同意しないことを示している。

13. Strategy – Statements
 If you hear a statement, you need to listen
carefully to key words.
 If you hear:
 The store has decreased the price of these TVs.
 The key words are underlined:
 The store has decreased the price of these TVs.
 If the responses are
A. Then, let’s buy one today.
B. I don’t think I know you.
C. I need some rice.
 The best one is A.

14. 解答のための方策 説明文
 説明文のときは、キーワードを注意して聞くこと。
 The store has decreased the price of these TVs. と
いう文を聞いた場合を想定しよう。下線部分がキーワー
ドである。
 The store has decreased the price of these TVs.
 この文に対する応答が
A. Then, let’s buy one today.
B. I don’t think I know you.
C. I need some rice.
の３つだった場合、一番的確なのはAである。
