 16問
 不完全な文章を完成させるために、4つの答え
（単語や句または一文）の中から最も適当なもの
を選び解答用紙にマークする。各長文には設問が
4問ずつある。

3. Directions
 Read the texts that follow. A word or phrase is
missing in some of the sentences. Four answer
choices are given below each of the sentences.
Select the best answer to complete the text. Then
mark the letter (A), (B), (C), or (D) on your answer
sheet.

 Quickly read through the text and ask yourself
 What is the topic?
 What are the main ideas?
文章をすばやく読み通し、自分に問いかけること。
・話題は何か
・本題は何か

5. Strategy 2
 Use the same strategy that was explained for
Incomplete Sentences:
 Use your grammar and vocabulary knowledge to help
you find the best answer.
 Look at the question
 What is the topic of the sentence?
 If the question has two parts, what is their relationship,
contrast, comparison, addition, conclusion, reason or
result, etc.?
 What word form (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc.) is
needed to complete the question?
 What words come before and after blank?
 Look at the possible answers
 Which ones fit the topic, relationship, or required
grammar or word form?

 文の穴埋め問題で述べたのと同じ方策を用いること。
 最もふさわしい答えを見つけるために、文法と語彙
の知識を使うこと。
 問題文をよく見ること。
・問題文の話題は何か。
・問題文が二つの要素を含む場合、それらの関係はどのよ
うなものか。対比、比較、追加、結論、理由、結果などの
いずれに当てはまるか考えよう。
・問題文を完成させるには、名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞な
どのうち、どれが必要か。
・空欄の前後にはどのような単語があるか。
 答えとして可能性のあるものをよく見ること。
・話題、関係性、必要な語形の点から考えて、どの選択肢
が答えとしてふさわしいか。
