Brief History:
• Formed in 1904 in Philadelphia, Pa by two PECO engineers
• Quickly became an industry innovator and leader throughout the early 20th
Century
• Developed the first artificial loads, resistive loads, burden testers and test
switches
• Throughout the mid 20th Century became an industry leader in the meter
shop testing market with our watt-hour accuracy boards and demand boards
including the TESCO 990 which was an industry staple throughout these
years. TESCO was eventually purchased by Advent Design Corporation

innovative statistical testing programs for both electric and gas utilities.
Advent Design has worked with numerous public utility commissions to
help write new meter testing regulations. This broad range of engineering

starts as working on meter certification, then evolves into functional and
acceptance testing protocols, then issues and RMA processing and tracking
TESCO has warehouse space to accommodate hundreds of thousands of
meters and has space available for immediate expansion if required to suit
your needs.
Our loading dock and meter processing area are large enough to
accommodate several trucks loads of meters per day if necessary.
