This report updates Telstra's 2007 climate risk findings, evaluating the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in enabling carbon emissions reductions in Australia. It identifies seven key ICT-based opportunities for substantial emissions and cost savings, with potential annual savings of $8.1 billion and a reduction of 27.5 million tons of CO2-e. Additionally, the report highlights the emergence of new opportunities and emphasizes the need for addressing uptake barriers to achieve these benefits.
